HappyDays Linky #18

Welcome to HappyDays! I co-host this linky with Jenna (Tiny Footsteps) so please do remember to go over to her post and say hi! We want to inspire you to make the best out of every day, appreciating the little things in life and having happy days.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! We celebrated last night, nothing fancy, just a DVD night and I gave Mr F his cuddle basket. He loved it 🙂 We were supposed to be having friends to stay this weekend but everyone is ill so I am not sure when we will see our friends now. Totally gutted.

Last week I really enjoyed Louise’s post. I find her so inspiring with all of her talents and hobbies! I need to live nearer to you Louise so you can teach me some skills!!

Ok, over to my week…

Out & About

So I mentioned last week that I was going to the filming of the Graham Norton show for an Eastenders special. Well, it was absolutely amazing!! We laughed so hard!! Danny Dyer and Shane Richie are hilarious!! If you want to watch it then it is on BBC 1 Monday at 10.40pm. I am sitting in the very middle of the audience, a couple of rows behind Lucy Beale (who had a right face on her the whole evening!!). Got no photos unfortunately as cameras were’t allowed! I am off to Loose Women in a few weeks, if you live nearish to London you should put your name down on sroaudiences.com, some great shows available!

Other than that we have been stuck indoors, G hasn’t even been to nursery so we have not had any fresh air at all!

Fun at Home

The illnesses just carry on don’t they? I am blaming nursery completely! This week the girls have had conjunctivitis, G woke up Wednesday morning and couldn’t open her eyes! Mr F thought she just meant she was tired but when she didn’t know where to walk he suddenly realised she literally couldn’t open her eyes! Awful! Took 10 mins of soaking to un-glue them poor love.

We have tried to make the best of being at home though, we made some little octopuses out of toilet rolls, keeping to my promise to myself to be more fun.

Most of the week though has been spent playing with dolls. Baby L is absolutely obsessed with them! She is going to be such a lovely mummy to someone one day, so caring and loving.

Time for Me

When we went to go get the eye drops from the pharmacy we popped into Sainsbury’s, I treated G to a magazine and while we were looking I decided to buy one for myself too. I don’t remember the last time I had a mag but I wanted to see if I could get some inspiration for spring summer clothes. I feel like I am in a mummy fashion rut. I don’t know what style suits me anymore. It is my birthday in 2 weeks and I want to start dressing for my age, my shape and my style- rather than the frumpy look I currently sport!

My Happiest Moment

This is a tough one, we have laughed a lot this week despite all the germs, so there is a few moments to choose from. My favourite thing has been snuggling on the sofa watching movies with Little G. I am introducing her to all the classics; Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and she even enjoyed Harry Potter! She has suddenly grown up and outgrown younger movies that she should typically be watching at her age.

Next week I would like to…

It is half term next week so we will be avoiding most places- everywhere gets crazy busy doesn’t it? I would like to try and get to the park to get some fresh air!

Argh just realised I forgot to comment on yours and Jenna's posts! Forgive me?

Anyway I'm glad to read in the comments that the girls' conjunctivitis has cleared up (hope it hasn't revisited baby L!). I love the photo of her playing with her dolly, so cute!

I haven't even managed to comment on any happy days posts yet! This week has been crazy busy!! Both girls still have gunky eyes, they are just passing it backwards and forwards. Nightmare!! x

Sorry your girls have had conjunctivitis, that must have been horrid when G's eyes were gunked shut. I hope they're on the mend now? I love that you've spent lots of time playing with dolls and that photo of Baby L and her baby is so cute. I'm glad you got some time out at the Graham Norton show, it sounds like a good laugh. I'm dead jealous that you're going to Loose Women too, think I might be putting my name down for some shows now too! Have a great half term hun xxx

They are completely better now thank you hun, although it looks like it has returned to Baby L so we haven't seen the last of it! Yay for putting your name down, they are so much fun! x

There is nothing sweeter than watching your child play with dollies - all three of mine love playing with the dolls and it is beautiful to see.
