A Water Challenge: Weeks 3 & 4

I thought I would combine week’s 3 and 4 of my water challenge as quite honestly week 3 was very much the same as week 2. I suffered with more headaches and could not get the hang of drinking more. Silly isn’t it? Something so natural as drinking water being a chore?

If you don’t know, I am taking part in a 7 week challenge with Seven Seas to see whether an increased water intake will have any effect on my skin, my health and overall well-being. I am also taking a daily vitamin supplement from their Perfect7 Woman range.

However, I have turned a corner in week 4 and have finally found the answer! I had seen Nativ bottles a while back on someone’s IG feed and I remembered thinking that they were a great idea. Taking on this water challenge has indeed been a challenge up until this point but with my fab new water bottle I am actually finding it really easy! I have been having my daily allowance of 8 glasses every single day!

So what makes the bottles so fab? Well for someone who struggles drinking a full glass at a time it is much easier to sip throughout the day. However the thing for me is the times down the side of the bottle. Knowing that I should stagger my intake throughout the day, and seeing the times I should have achieved a certain level is a real help. I even get a bit pleased with myself if I go ahead of schedule.

Have I noticed a difference with an increased water intake?

I am just over half way through the challenge and now that the headaches have passed and my body has adjusted to the new regime I am definitely seeing a difference in my skin. I can’t quite describe it but I feel plumper. When I had a facial at Ragdale Hall last weekend the masseuse told me I had dehydrated skin and I could feel it. Or rather now I am not dehydrated I can see what she meant. My skin feels more awake!

Here is my photo update: I have to say I don’t think I look any different but I guess that is what makeup is for!

There are so many other benefits to drinking more water and I will cover them more in my next post. Hopefully I can carry on with the good work over the next week!

I do like the idea of those bottles - I've always been really good at drinking lots of water but have recently started to fall back from it. As you say, dehydration plays havoc with our skin and general well being! xx

Those bottles look brilliant I think I might need one for work - I'm terrible for getting a glass of water, putting it on my desk and then completely ignoring it!
