Winter is knocking at our door and the cold weather can lead to illness as well as dry cracked skin! Our bodies need protecting and we all want to stay healthy so I have a list of 8 top tips to keep you looking and feeling great this season!
1. Treat yourself to a matching pair of gloves, hat and scarf. Wrapping up well will protect your skin from the elements and stop you catching a chill- plus you will look super stylish!
I have this set from Next, I like the dusky pink colour.
2. Layer up when you are at home too! It is tempting to turn the heating up high to keep warm but actually this can cause skin to dry out. Turn it down a couple of degrees and put on a jumper instead!
I LOVE this jumper from Primark! Sums up Christmas for me!
3. Moisturise, moisturise moisturise! Your skin will inevitably become dry and flaky but using a moisturiser daily will help to replenish those natural oils. I have been using Dove Winter Care* range since the weather turned and my skin is so soft! Make sure you moisturise before bed so your body has time to absorb the moisture.
4. Your lips are always exposed to the elements and they need protecting! Vaseline is one of my favourite products to use as it gives the look of lip gloss as well as offering protection.
5. Your hair is your crowning glory! I don’t know about you but my hair goes so lank and dull during the winter months. Along with the central heating it has the usual stresses and strains of hair drying and straightening to contend with! I have been trialing Vatika Coconut Hair Oil* for the past couple of weeks and wow, my hair feels luscious!!
6. Make sure you have a balanced diet! No I do not mean a mince pie in each hand!! Check out which fruit and vegetables are in season and stock up! If you think you are not getting enough vitamins then get yourself a multivitamin!
7. Make sure you are still getting your 8 glasses of water a day! It is easier to remember to drink when it is hot outside but it is just as important to keep hydrated in the cold weather too. Drinking water helps your body to ward off germs and keep your skin looking gorgeous!
8. Coughs and sneezes spread diseases! Make sure you are washing your hands regularly with a good antibacterial hand wash. I also love this antibacterial spray from dettol- the smell of apple is delicious and I spray it on all of my door knobs and other surfaces touched regularly to limit the spread of germs.
So they are my 8 tips for looking and feeling great this winter, look after your body and it will look after you!
What do you do to keep yourself looking and feeling great through the winter months?

I really should moisturise, I never really do that. Will try the dove winter care and maybe treat myself to a hat and glove set - but any excuse to shop is a welcome excuse! #thelist - oh yeah and I also added you on twitter and bloglovin.

My mum always said to me to cleanse tone and moisturise everyday and that face means neck and hands means arms. She is in her 60s and looks more like 45 so I have always made sure I do the same! Will go make sure I am following you back! :-)

I am not great at drinking water but I have started having a glass every time I go into the kitchen- keeping a glass by the sink to remind me. I feel much better! x
