Welcome to HappyDays! I co-host this inspiring linky with Jenna (Tiny Footsteps) so please do remember to go over to her post and say hi! We love running this linky, it has had such an amazing response- we never thought it possible a couple of months ago! So a big thank you to everyone who has taken part so far!
This week I just want to give a big linky hug to Ellen over at El and Baby A as she totally lifted my spirits mid-week this week. Thank you xx
Ok over to my week, where has it gone?? It only seems a minute since I was writing last week’s post and yet here I am again!! You know it is going to be Christmas before we know it?!!
Out & About
We went to try and see Father Christmas at a local garden centre – he wasn’t there unfortunately but we had a great time browsing the Christmas decorations! Somehow I managed to walk away without spending a penny! We have so many decorations already I didn’t know what to buy!
There is also a little farm and so we enjoyed having a look at their animals, although the free roaming birds were a little frightening – I am not a fan of birds!!
We went into town on Thursday as I wanted to look for carpet for our stairs. Carpet Right want to charge almost £150 to fit! Will be looking for local fitters me thinks!! We enjoyed walking along the river, saying hello to the ducks. They look so hungry so we have made a promise to them to take some bread next time we are down.
Fun at Home
I have had so many bright ideas this week but not managed to complete any of them! We are part way through making a car from a cardboard box! I have seen a couple of you making them and have been on the look out for a box for ages! I got a delivery this week so we started on the car but it is yet to be decorated! They were both laughing hysterically as Mr F swung them around!
Most of the week has been spent sorting through toys in preparation for Christmas, we have so many that have been handed down from family and we are overwhelmed! It is difficult though as even when G has grown out of something I cannot get rid of it as L will soon be growing into it! It will be much easier when the age gap lessens.
Time for Me
Probably doesn’t count but I went to an NCT pre-sale last night and had the best time. It was a toy sale so technically not for me but I had fun and oh my word did I get bargains (lucky I have been clearing to make room!!!!) If you have never been to one I can highly recommend them! I only started going this year and could cry for the amount of bargains I have missed over the past 4 years!
My Happiest Moment
I had a right Debbie downer moment in the middle of the week when the Tots100 scores came out. I must have come across like a proper spoiled brat!! Very sorry, had a bad day anyway. So how is this my happiest moment? Well, some of you lovely lot on Twitter tweeted me and made me realise what an idiot I was being and cheered me up. I have never met 99% of the people I follow on Twitter but you made me feel better, how amazing is social media?!
Next week I would like to…
I have been blogging for 6 months now and I am burnt out! Non-bloggers have no idea how much hard work goes into a blog do they? Anyway, besides a few drafts that I have waiting to be published I am going to try and take a bit of a break the next few weeks. I feel like I am nowhere near being prepared for Christmas or Baby L’s birthday in December so I need to try and sort everything out!
Whether I will be successful in stepping back will remain to be seen…

Little G's hat is sooooo cute.
I still haven't been to an NCT sale, it's seems like every time my local one is on, something comes up that stops me from going. They don't have them very often here either. I love the garden centre at Christmas time too, well done for not spending any money!!

Honestly, once youve been to one you will be hooked! Sign up to be a volunteer during the sale and then you get to go to the pre sale. That is when the real bargains are to be had! x

I wouldn't have been happy with the free roaming birds either! How you managed to not spend a penny is beyond me! I love buying new decorations!! I wish I had your will power!
Have a nice week off, sorry to hear you were upset by the scores but glad tweeters managed to cheer you up :)

I am not really sure how I managed it either, I did go and get lots of lovely decorations in town at the weekend though so I must have been having a 'good' day with regards not spending money haha!

Sorry to hear about your bad day, we've all been there with Debbie downer moments and I'm glad to hear that you soon picked back up again! =) Ooh, I'm loving the sound of an NCT toy sale, will definitely try and find a local one now as I love a toy bargain! Well done on sorting toys in preparation for Xmas, that's very organised of you (makes mental note to do the same, lol) I hope your blogging break helps you come back feeling refreshed. Have a good week Katy xx

I spent so much money but if I had bought new I would have probably spent 10x that amount so I have to keep remembering that! Lucky I had sorted as now we have more than we started with! oops!!

Sorry you felt low during the week :( I hope you're feeling a bit more positive now and that having a bit of a break from blogging recharges your batteries.
It looks like you all had a lovely time at the garden centre, despite the absence of Father C.
I've heard such good things about the NCT sales, I must try and find out when there is one near us.
Thanks for hosting! Jess xx

Oh you really must!! What you want to do is sign up to be a volunteer on the day - that way you get to go to the pre sale the night before and grab all the bargains!! x

The NCT toy sales are brilliant for bargains aren't they! I'm kicking myself that I missed our local sale last week.
I'm really sorry you've had a bit of a downer. I think you're on the right track with taking a step back from blogging even if it's only for a week. Everyone needs a break now and then! Mine worked wonders for me but then I guess I'm fortunate in that I'm not on any of the ranking or blog network sites so I don't have the added stress of that.

It is so hard not to look when you are part of the networks. But after feeling a bit down I have decided to stop paying too much attention to them and focus on what blogging means to me. xx
