Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!
I have to confess I am feeling anything but happy as I write this. I’ve just come off the phone with my mum, her dog is really poorly and is probably going to have to be put down. She wants me to go with her if that should happen and that fills me with dread. I had to have my rabbit put down a couple of years ago, we’d had him 11 years and it broke my heart.
Most times I would move a post along a day and write it when I felt better, but this post is all about seeing the happy when sometimes you feel like there is nothing to smile about. So I am going to focus on the great week we’ve had this half term and try to put the sadness to the back of my mind for now.
What has made me happy this week?
– Half term. Both the girls have had the week off and Mr F took the week as holiday too, so we’ve been together as a 5 again. I love when there are no schedules to keep or real plans set in stone.
– Time away. We went down to Devon to see friends and had the loveliest time. Their little boy is so gorgeous, tiny next to Wills despite being only 3 months apart in age. I swear Wills could have sat him on his lap!
– Trolls. We got it on DVD and have seen it 3 times so far. I couldn’t take the girls when it was in the cinema as I was too big and uncomfortable and then had a newborn, so they’ve been desperate to see it. Can’t get the songs out of my head now!
– Days out. We were invited to an event in Surry with Next and had a lovely day at the farm. I’ll have the write-up asap so keep an eye out for that.
– Rainbows. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my Instagram story with the rainbow, it was the best rainbow I have ever ever seen. The photo above is half of it but the story captured it from end to end. Just beautiful!!
– Twitter. I had two people say I was on of their favourite bloggers (although one was Sian so not sure that counts… swear I didn’t pay her!) and it was just the lift I needed. Sometimes you sit at your laptop and wonder if anyone reads your blog, so it is nice when someone says something nice like that.
– Gadgets. We have been sent a new gadget that plays music through the tv and so we’ve been having a boogie the last day or so. Mr F has also bought some smart lights and they are amazing! I will try and write about them because honestly – so clever!
If you join in with this linky then I am so so sorry that I missed out commenting last week. We went away and I just forgot *holds head in shame* but I promise I will get back on track and be a better host going forward.
Have a great weekend!

Sorry to hear about your mums dog, making that decision is so heartbreaking. Sounds like you had a good half term though. I love Trolls, I've lost count how many times we've watched it now! X #HappyDaysLinky

Aww Katy you do so much and your one of my favourite bloggers too!! I've got you mentioned in my anniversary post coming up on my blog this week, I'll have to tag you... it's great that you got family of 5 time, it rocks when you have that little extra parental help to make it through the week!! I love it when Dave is off! Enjoy your week #happydays

Awww, that's such sad news about your Mum's dog - I still miss mine after all these years :( Glad you had a nice half term break though - it's so nice to go away somewhere even if it's just for a short while and not that far away. #HappyDaysLinky

You know what Katy, sometimes life takes over and you have to enjoy it! Once in a while forgetting to comment doesn't hurt anyone! Our daughter's seeing Trolls at her school next week and is very excited. Meanwhile, I'm gutted that I'll have to wait to amazon prime it until after she's seen it!!... Thanks for hosting #happydayslinky
