Sleepyhead Grand Baby Sleep Pod Review

The Sleepyhead Grand – The Answer To Our Sleep Problem

We have tried a few different things to help Wills sleep better and all of them work…. as long as he is with me. We have been co-sleeping since the day he was born and as much as I don’t mind it one bit, I know that being near me is actually causing his restlessness. We tried him in his cot but he was lonely and who can blame him? A cot is a big space and definitely not as snuggly as being next to his mama, so I needed to find a solution that would suit the both of us.

I had heard great things about the Sleepyhead, my friend had her little boy just before Christmas and she’d sent me photos of him snuggled up in his Sleepyhead Deluxe – he looked so happy! Having a friend tell you about something really does help doesn’t it? So when I was given the chance to try the Sleepyhead for myself I couldn’t wait- I wanted my little boy to be a happy sleeper too!

We have the Sleepyhead Grand as he is a big boy, so the 9 – 36+ months size is best for him. We started him off napping in the day, just to get him used to it and oh my goodness – he loves it!! You could see immediately that he was comfortable, surrounded by a giant hug to stop him from feeling so lonely. After a couple of days napping and playing in his Sleepyhead, we popped it in his cot to try him at night. You’ll know he isn’t the best sleeper but since having the pod he now sleeps soundly from 7pm until 2am (with a dream feed at 10pm), whereas before he would only sleep next to me on the sofa – win!

The great thing about both the Deluxe and the Grand pods is the fact that they are multifunctional. They can be used for changing by unclipping the end, babies can have tummy time, nap time and they are also perfect for co-sleeping as the bumpers keep baby safe within the pod.

The thing I really like about it is the fact that the mattress and the bumpers are made from breathable materials, that gives such peace of mind doesn’t it? I also love that it is lightweight, we took it away with us last week instead of a travel cot and he slept happily next to me on the floor.

As I write this he is asleep upstairs and I know he is safe and happy, leaving me to be able to relax until he needs me again. If you are looking for a cosy pod for your little one, something that will stop them from feeling lonely in the night then I cannot recommend the Sleepyhead pods enough – I just wish we’d had one from the start!

I didn’t know they were that big…I need one! Oscar loves sleeping on his mumma and is pretty big for his Poddle Pod! I really can’t afford a sleepy head but might have to look into it – I need to get him to sleep somewhere other than me/our bed! I’m exhausted!!

Yeh this is the next size up, he was far too big for the first size. He sleeps so well now, I think I would if I was surrounded by a cloud x

We love our sleepyhead (we have the smaller one at the moment). I wish I had this when Amelie was a baby and didn’t sleep, ever! I’m just trying to decide whether we buy the grand one so useful to see your thoughts. Xx

I so wish we’d had the deluxe when he was first born as he loves his grand. He’s happy to lay in it and drift off on his own now which is unheard of in our house! x
