Happy Days: Summer Holidays, Days Out And Time Together

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

Hurrah for school holidays! No more making packed lunches, no more rushing here there and everywhere. Just quality time with my biggest girl before she starts full time in September! We have been away the last few days and the photo above was taken at Longleat safari park – so brilliant there! I am writing this after walking about a million miles (ok maybe a couple) and so feel completely exhausted! It is worth it though, I would hate for the girls to have a substandard summer because I am pregnant. They are fab though and do understand when I need to have a sit down or can’t manage everything as I would normally do.

So what has made my happy list this week?

– Holidays. Having both Little G and Mr F home has been such a treat. I do wish we could always be together but then I would probably start to take them for granted. Luckily it won’t be too long and Mr F will have his 2 weeks paternity leave and as long as baby doesn’t come too early, he is also planning on working from home from 39 weeks.

– Splash parks. With Mr F being off, we have made the best of the time we have together. One of the days we went along to our local splash park and the girls loved it! We haven’t been in ages so it was even more of treat. I was glad to dip my feet in the water too – really need to get the paddling pool out again at home to do more of that!

– Netflix. I really am loving having our subscription and have made good use of it this week. Mr F went out a couple of evenings and so I snuggled on the sofa and watched a couple of movies. You may have also seen on IG that I managed a day of me time as he had taken the girls out. I laid in the garden and watched a bit more of Orange is the New Black. The girls have been loving the subscription too – so many great kids programs on there at the moment!

– Hair cut. I have newwwwww hair!! I posted a pic on IG if you fancy a look. I just wanted to feel a little more glam as I have been a little bit scruffy recently.

I actually cannot remember what else we’ve done this week. My brain is well and truly mush now and I am forgetting all sorts. Thankfully Little G has a memory like an elephant so as long as I make sure I tell her everything then she keeps me in check!

I hope you’ve had a good week!

That's such a fantastic photo of the girls. We have had Netflix for yonks and love it. I originally only got the free trial to watch Breaking Bad! Ian has just watched Stranger Things which he said is brilliant so that's one for your list when you're done with OITNB x
