An Afternoon At The Splash Park

What do you do when you cannot bear the heat any longer? Head to the splash park!! I cannot remember the last time we went but it has been so hot recently that I have had it on my to-do list for a while. We went along on Saturday after we’d been to a birthday party and even though the clouds had started to roll over, it was still absolutely boiling.

It is LJ’s first proper time in a splash park and so she wasn’t quite sure what to do with herself at first. But as you can see here, she soon got involved and started wading through the water.

Little G is a pro of course and had no issue running about like a maniac. Weird actually as she hates getting her face wet in the bath/ shower but doesn’t seem to mind when it is outside!

They wore their gorgeous new swimsuits from Baby Swimming Shop and besides the fact that they are super cute with their frills, I love them because they offer UV protection and this print in particular looks almost fluorescent in the sunshine – perfect for when they are mingling in amongst other children and you need to keep an eye on them.

LJ gets a little colder than her sister so she has the all in one sunskirt. I just adore it!

It was such a lovely afternoon and now that I have my new car I will definitely be going more often – it is a free day out and they love it! Plus it is the perfect excuse for a picnic – who doesn’t love a picnic?
