Happy Days: Solo Parenting, Pre-school and Homecomings

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

I am so glad it is the weekend again- I don’t really feel like I had a weekend last week as I was solo parenting for 4 days while Mr F galavanted off to Madrid. So much respect for single parents, not because I struggled with the three of them but because I had no time for me. Never underestimate the importance of a little me time, no matter how little.

We did have fun just the 4 of us though, with plenty to keep us busy until he returned. Being solely in charge drained me to the point that I have had flu this week – he isn’t allowed to go away again haha!

What has made me happy this week?

– Moana. Have you seen it yet? It is a real feel good film and has a great soundtrack. People had been saying better than Frozen, I don’t agree but it was pretty good!

– Great friends. Knowing I was on my own, my lovely friend invited me around for a Sunday roast. She even made me a dairy free apple crumble. She made my day.

– New clothes. Not for me this time but for the kiddiewinkles. I went to Morrisons and got them some bits for spring, really lovely soft cotton! I have done a vlog and it will be going live tomorrow if you fancy a gander.

– Pre-school. I think I might write about this separately as I am so bloomin’ proud of Lils. She started Monday afternoon, went again Tuesday afternoon and she absolutely loved it! She came home absolutely full of it and can’t wait to go back!

– Daddy coming home. I was pleased to see him of course but actually the thing that made me so warm and fuzzy inside was seeing how pleased the girls were to see him. He came with me to collect Gracie from school and she was the first at the door and pretty much flew from the door into his arms, screaming ‘daddy!!!!’ so loud that everyone turned to see him swing her up in the air. Pure love. The photo above was her in his arms, where she stayed for the whole evening.

I am sure there was more but I hardly took any photos and without those I have no prompts for my poor baby addled brain!

Have a great weekend!

Do hope you are all better by now. Must watch Moana, it's sounds great! Well done for handling a week by yourself! I had to manage a long weekend a couple of months ago and was so tough - and we only have two! xx

I love Moana, brilliant film. Only problem is, whenever anyone say 'you're welcome' I get that song stuck in my head for hours! I love seeing the kids so excited to see their dad when he comes back from Sea, it really is such a heartwarming moment x #HappyDaysLinky

It's funny how we use our photos to remember the happy moments in the week. I'm truly screwed if I don't take photos as they are really the most useful way to remember the happy moments. I must get better at this! I love the description on how Gracie welcomed her Daddy home, that is really sweet. I love the bond thats forming with robert and his Daddy, it's oh so very heart warming! Thanks for hosting #happydays
