On Wednesday we travelled to London for a magical event in Sketch. I have been there before when we went on our chocolate tour of London– they do the best hot chocolates in the whole world! The reason for our visit was completely different this time- we were off to meet fairies!
Little G was so excited the whole journey and couldn’t wait to get inside. We were greeted by gorgeous flowers in the entrance hallway, all setting the scene for the event. She happily skipped along the hopscotch to The Glade room.
We spent the first half an hour huddled together as both girls were absolutely terrified of the lifesized fairies. Little L especially looked petrified and wouldn’t let go of my leg! The fairies were amazing though and did everything they could to put them at ease.
Eventually Little G was up getting involved in the fun and games and had a magical time. Little L ventured near a few times but was still a little unsure.
The whole event was all for The Irish Fairy Door Company, they make the most beautiful doorways to place in your home. Each door is like a little invite to a fairy to come and live with your family. We heard tales of the fairies and they even came to join the party, albeit invisible, which made it magical for all of the little ones.
The Irish Fairy Door Company have already re-homed 150 thousand fairies in Ireland and are now looking to the children of England to help too. I have to say, hearing all about it, from the founders of the company, had me believing in fairies! Their Irish accents had me enchanted!
We were gifted 2 fairy doors with a few accessories to make our own fairy garden- they are going to take pride of place in the girls’ rooms. I will be sharing more about this in the next few weeks once we have put everything in place. I can’t wait!
Do you believe in fairies?

Oh in love with these. I don't care that I have boys, the tooth fairy still needs to visit the boys when they're older and they can be Santa elf doors too. Sold. I want one! #kidscorner

What a lovely event although I can imagine that the life-sized fairies may have been a little scary at first for little ones! I love those fairy doors - so pretty. One of my planned projects for the garden is to turn a tree stump into a fairy garden. Hope you have fun with yours :-)

Oh me too Louise! We chopped down a huge conifer last summer and kept a bit of stump for that very reason! x
