I wasn’t going to write this post, something about asking for a nomination didn’t seem right somehow. But I have been reading other peoples’ pleas and thought I might as well throw my hat into the ring- you don’t ask you don’t get, right?
This time last year I had no idea what the BIBs were, to be honest I didn’t really know much about blogging at all! I had heard of blogs but assumed they were something that teenagers did in their spare time! How wrong was I?? Blogging is the most exciting thing I have ever done and my only regret is that I didn’t start it sooner.
For anyone who isn’t aware of the BIBs (Brilliance in Blogging), they are an annual awards by Britmums to celebrate bloggers and the fantastic work that they do. There are several categories and each one celebrates a different aspect of the blogosphere.
When thinking about the category I would fit into I actually struggled, I fit into a couple but realistically there are so many wonderful bloggers who stand a better chance of winning than me, I have only been blogging a short time and so would never expect to compete with those deserving bloggers.
So where do I fit in?
I am at the beginning of my blogging journey, at only 11 months old I have so many years ahead of me. Therefore the only category that truly reflects by blog is…. Fresh Voice.
I started the HappyDays linky to help inspire people to see the happy in every day and I recently started my Real Mums feature to show mums what other mums think and feel- to show that we are all the same and should stand together in the sisterhood of motherhood.
My Plea
If I have ever made you smile, make you think, inspired a different way of thinking or just had you nodding along in agreement then I would absolutely love it if you considered me in your nominations. As my title suggests I have left it a little late now and maybe you have already voted. If so, not to worry, I’ll just cry in a corner….. ok maybe not but I will have to work extra hard next year won’t I? 🙂
To be nominated in such an amazing awards would absolutely make my year!
If you want to vote then here is the link to the voting page.
