Happy Days: New Year, New Colours, New Me

I’ve missed writing out my happy moments but I have really enjoyed having time off. So much so I wondered whether I would be able to get back into it as I felt as though I had totally lost my mojo. Having time off from it all has done me the world of good and this week I have written a couple of posts that weren’t sponsored or whatever but were just because I wanted to share. Those are the sorts of posts I want to write moving forward.

I hope you had a great Christmas, it went so quickly didn’t it? I am not sure I’ll be able to remember 3 weeks worth of happy but I’ll try!

What has made me happy the last few weeks?

– That photo ^^^. I mean seriously – little old man look suits him, right?

– My new blog colour. Changed to a grey and muted theme as I was sick of my old mish mash look. I feel quite tranquil looking at it all now.

– Homecomings. If you read my last happy days post you’ll know my friend had a baby and he was poorly. Thankfully he was home in time for Christmas and is doing really well.

– Christmas. Obviously have to include that. Was over too quickly but we had a nice time and the girls loved every bit of it.

– Time off. So nice to be able to sit down and do nothing besides watch Christmas tv. It took me a while to switch off from everything but I got there in the end.

– Bargain buys. I got a Jumperoo for Will off eBay for 30 quid! How great is that? Even better is that it was brand new! He absolutely loves it and jumps around like a lunatic for ages!

– Finding my mojo. I had felt a bit lost towards the end of the year but I feel a renewed love for my blog again, hurrah! I wrote a post about my new wardrobe, arranged by outfit and it has had so much interest – made me see that I have plenty to share and people do want to listen.

– New job. I had an exciting message yesterday about a job and I am very excited about it all! I will find out more on Tuesday but I actually think it could be the start of something exciting!

– New cushions. Right, now I actually think I have a problem. I now own 3 sets of cushions for my sofa; autumnal, Christmas and my new aqua set. You should have seen Mr F’s face when he saw them. Best of all was he thought they had been sent as part of a project – when I told him I had bought them off my own back his face was a picture!! Ha!!

Now I need all the luck this weekend as Mr F has gone off and left me with three kids while he swans off to Madrid with his dad and brothers! It is the first time I’ve been in charge of them all for any real length of time and I am a little nervous if I am honest. If I survive the weekend without losing one of them then I’ll deserve a nice soak in the bath come Monday night!
