I have been blogging for a few years now but it is only recently that I have decided to set up a dedicated space to keep myself organised. I think the reason it has taken me so long is the fact that I have never had a ‘sit at a desk’ job – being a reception teacher meant no desk was necessary. I have always wanted one though so I have really enjoyed getting my space ready- not that it is finished as I still have a few things I want to do but at least I have started.
It was an exciting parcel from Epson which prompted my decision to get started – a brand new printer! Do you love it? Ok bit weird, but if you are like me and love stationery then you will understand! The EcoTank ET-3600 is a very clever piece of kit indeed which can print, copy and scan. The new and exciting part though is the fact that you do not need to use cartridges ever again!
The tanks are filled with ink manually and you simply refill the ink. The great thing is the ink tanks are massive and can print up to 11’000 pages before running out!! It also comes with extra ink so I won’t have to refill the tanks for a long time!
With my business ever growing I am needing to sit at my desk and print out documents when they are sent and the fact that it is also equipped with wi-fi means I can print from my mac or my phone – I love that! It has also come in handy in my role as mummy too as only this morning I printed out a photo for Gracie to take in for show and tell – equally as important of course!
So I thought I would show you around my desk, to give a little glimpse into my work life.
My diary is the most important thing on my desk. It is the first thing I look at every day, to see what deadlines I have looming, appointments I need to keep and any other tasks that need completing each day.
I really need to update the photo but I do love this one – 3 of my most favourite people in the world.
Did you read my post earlier in the year? I showed you how to make your own Remembulations Jar. This is mine – I haven’t been amazing at filling it up but I am still looking forward to reading through everything in a month or two.
This is my other corner, with some lavender from our visit earlier in the year, my new favourite camera, a tatty teddy bear (I can’t even explain why he is there but I love him) and my Next Blogger award from last autumn. It is only a runner up award but I am still proud to have got that far.
There are still a few things I want to do, put a few photos up on the wall and get myself some more knick knacks to make it feel a bit more personal but it is getting there!
Are you a work at home mama? What does your work space look like?
Want to win an EcoTank ET-3600? Epson have a brilliant competition running (ends 18/11/2016). All you have to do is make one of 5 origami animals, decorate it and upload a photo to the Epson Paperfight website. Good luck!!

Hi Katy, Your work space really looks beautiful. Also your printer seems so reliable and economical. I think I am going to head towards buying an Epson Printer and Epson refillable cartridges as 11,000 prints per cartridge sounds great.
P.S.: Congratulations for you Bloggers Award :) Regards Ryan

I love the idea of no fiddly cartridges! I really need to sort myself out with a printer and scanner, i've just taken on two freelance clients and it would be so helpful to print stuff out as and when I need it, as wel as for general life (h and hermes parcel labels haha!) Off to enter the comp!

That printer sounds so much easier that you can just fill it up, rather than lots of cartridges being change. It is so important to have a space that works for you when your blogging. So much stuff and things to remember!
