Mama Style: Sparkling This Season With Kaleidoscope

Party season is almost upon us and I am really excited by it all! I have a few events coming up which will need a bit of sparkle – I do love a bit of sparkle.

When I was younger I used to buy a lot of clothes, wearing things once then moving on to the next big thing. These days I am all about mixing and matching key pieces in my wardrobe to get the most out of everything. If you read my blog regularly you’ll know I am trying to step away from frumpy mama to become a stylish mama and Christmas is the perfect time to glam yourself up isn’t it?

I am working with Kaleidoscope this season, to showcase a couple of key pieces from their party wear range for their #ThreeWaysToParty campaign. It was tricky choosing as their dresses are absolutely stunning – I would wear every single one of them! I have to think practically at the moment though and a 2-piece works for me while I am still feeding Wills.

I chose a gorgeous sequin crop top and mesh midi skirt combination and thought I would show you the different ways I’ll be wearing them this season.

Christmas Party

I am always rocking a mum bun on the school run but I make the effort and style my hair in a proper bun for evening events. There is something more polished about wearing your hair up don’t you think? I am so excited to go out out at Christmas and I’ll be wearing the top and skirt with black heels, going for simple yet classy.

I adore the skirt – it is really floaty and sits so nicely on my hips. I have always been a little afraid of skirts as I’ve felt they may not suit my pear shape but I’m braver these days and I am glad as I love this look!

Dinner Date

We are off out for dinner with some of the parents from school in a few weeks and I’ll be wearing this outfit. Dressing it down a little with a black cardi and my hair down but keeping the glamour with heels.

Sparkly top

Isn’t it sparkly? I was definitely a magpie in a past life as I am drawn to anything that shimmers and sparkles!

Tea Party

This top is also from Kaleidoscope and goes perfectly with the skirt to create a less sparkly daytime look. I have lived in leggings for so many years, I’ve almost forgotten how to be feminine! I am really enjoying finding my style again and I wouldn’t think twice about wearing a skirt to lunch with my mummy friends. It is a friend’s birthday next month and she’s having a tea party, so I will be styling it with flats as let’s be honest, when you are a busy mum you can’t be wearing heels in the day!

casual look

I adore the pieces I picked out and they will be items I can mix and match with other things I own too, which is what it is all about isn’t it?

What will you be wearing this season? Do you like a bit of sparkle too?

Wow all their dresses are stunning! I don't think I could choose. You look very glamorous. I wish I had the confidence to carry off something sparkly and girly. I live in jeans too much! Thanks for linking up to #fortheloveofblog
