Cbeebies Land at Alton Towers Review

Both the girls love CBeebies and so when we were offered tickets to go to Alton Towers to check out their CBeebies Land zone I knew the girls would love it! Quite a few of our friends have been and they’ve all had a fab day out, so I was excited to check it out for ourselves.

We arrived nice and early and thankfully rain was forecast so not many people had thought to go on that day. Turns out the weather man was wrong (isn’t he always?) and it was a beautiful sunny day for the most part. There was one 2 minute pour down but we were under cover so it didn’t matter in the slightest. There is quite a bit of shelter actually so that is good to know!

As we walked towards the CBeebies part of the park we were greeted by a sort of circus display, with the staff dressed in CBeebies colours, swirling ribbons and juggling hoops. It was so empty at this point it felt like they were there for us!

The whole park is perfect for little ones, with many of the attractions being more of an ‘experience’ rather than a ride. We went on a few classic rides, like the Octonauts rollercoaster and the In The Night Garden boat ride but mainly everything was a walk in experience which didn’t have height restrictions.

My favourite thing was Mr Bloom’s garden – an exact replica of what you see on the tv and you get to go inside his nursery and see the veggies in action. I wish we could have taken G a few years ago as she used to be obsessed with Sebastian the Aubergine!

The girls’ favourite thing was the meet and greets with Iggle Piggle and Captain Barnacles. They weren’t timed sessions and so it was just luck when you spotted them – this worked really well as it meant there were no huge queues at any given time.

I didn’t take a huge amount of photos as I thought showing you a video would give you a better feel for what it is like. It isn’t the biggest park and you do pay the full Alton Towers ticket price, so do bear that in mind when thinking of going. If you have older kids too then they would be able to make use of the whole Alton Towers park and make the most of the ticket.
