Do your kids love Iggle Piggle? Mine do and enjoy watching In The Night Garden before bed each night. Little G watched it from an early age but LJ has only just started taking an interest at 22 months old. Seeing her little face light up just makes my heart melt and when she dances along to the music I just want to eat her up she is so cute!
We were recently sent an In The Night Garden Explore and Learn Musical Activity Table to review and you should have seen LJ’s face when I took it out of the box- honestly she almost burst! It is instantly recognisable as being from the show as it has the key characters and memorable scenery included in the box.
There is quite a bit to do to keep little ones busy, with a wind-up bandstand which plays the theme tune in a musical box style sound, a book to flick through and listen to the narrator tell a story and buttons to press (or bash with the hammer!).
The buttons light up and depending on which setting you have it on (musical or activity) they either play the sound for each character or make noises as part of a game. The activity setting is a little advanced for LJ as she is not able to follow the instructions which ask you to find a particular shape or colour so we have kept it on the musical setting for now. It is nice that it will grow as she understands and can do more with it.
The bandstand and the bridge have foot holes in them so the characters can be placed in them securely. The bridge has 3 foot holes so all three characters can stand on there at one time. Makka Pakka has his own little house too which LJ enjoyed tucking him inside to put him to bed.
Overall the whole thing is just really lovely, it packs away inside the table (besides the larger accessories) and can be used a a table without the activity part attached which is great! If you have a fan of In The Night Garden then this is a lovely toy that will grow with them from when they are sitting to when they are standing and able to do imaginative play with the characters.
We filmed the unboxing and showed the girls playing with it, you can see by LJ’s face that she just loves it! https://youtu.be/cgIuuyzlS-U I have a Peekaboo Iggle Piggle to giveaway, so if you have a big Iggle Piggle fan in your house too then all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is enter the Gleam widget below.
