I have been so excited about writing this post, it is my entry into the Hillary’s Blinds Competition but it is also something I have been wanting to do for ages! The ideas was to use a 1 metre squared piece of fabric to make something crafty. I considered making something for my home but in the end decided I would use it to make a home for dolls, to spruce up our dolls house.
We bought the house a while back and as much as it is great in its original state, I wanted to make it feel more homely. I got out my sewing kit and went to buy a few extra bits to be able to complete the job and we were good to go!
It was so much fun measuring and sewing such tiny little cushions. Little G got involved too and stuffed each cushion carefully.
We laid carpets, we made cushions for the sofas and chairs, we made duvets and pillows and of course, we made blinds for the windows!!
I made a little video, showing a day in our lives acted out by the dolls in the house. Enjoy!
At some point I would like to paint the outside of the house but for now I am pretty pleased with how it has turned out!

This looks so good! I love it from the outside too. Amazing what a difference one piece of fabric can make! Such a great thing to have, I bet your little girl will spend hours playing with it...and maybe you too!
