What a week! There have been highs and there have been lows and I am glad it is Sunday! Hopefully next week will just be highs!!

1- Dairy free Christmas stash // 2- G opening her presents // 3- Wearing her new tartan dress // 4- Having fun at ballet // 5 & 6- Out for dinner // 7-Our #HappyDaysLinky // 8- Out for cocktails
So Sunday we just slobbed about after the exhaustion of Little G’s birthday party the day before. We watched The Lion King twice- her new favourite film given to her by one of her Aunts and Uncles. Makes a change from Frozen!
Monday we went to The Secret Garden, an indoor garden type play area. It is really nice, not like soft play areas that just fill me with dread! We sat on the pretend grass and chilled out with friends.
Tuesday was Little G’s actual birthday and we braved a baby group for the first time since before the Summer holidays. I was glad we went though as quite a few people we know turned up. It is always nice to get out of the house. I did meet with the usual unfriendliness of some Hitchin mums though which prompted me to write this poem about being a young mum.
On Wednesday I went to work for the first time in 3 years! I am signed up to a supply agency and the paperwork was finally complete so they were able to find me a job. I was so nervous- I know how children can behave towards supply teachers so was dreading being eaten alive!! They were a dream though and the staff were so friendly. I am going back to the same school this Wednesday and am feeling happy about it. Definitely happy about having a wage coming in!!
Thursday I made the most of being home with my girls, I missed them so much while I was at work it made me appreciate how lucky I am to be able to stay home with them most days now. We went out into the garden and tidied up the flower beds ready for winter. I must go down to the market and get some winter flowering plants to add some colour! We went to a local Beefeater for dinner as I totally forgot to do our Tesco order this week so ran out of food!
Friday started off like any other day. We went to ballet as usual- the same annoying mums talked all the way through. It is so rude!!
We came home and I went to feed our rabbit Peter. We have had him since he was a few weeks old and at the ripe old age of 11 he was beginning to get a bit frail. He is an indoor rabbit so has very much been a part of our family. He was my first baby our first joint pet as a couple.
When I went in to see him he didn’t come bounding over to see me as usual. I immediately knew something was wrong and knew I had to take him to the vets. I think he may have had severe arthritis as he couldn’t move one of his back legs.
The hardest decision ever to have to make but I knew I had to be brave. I said goodbye to my baby boy.
Saturday was a subdued day but made all the happier by all of the wonderful people linking in to our new #HappyDaysLinky. Jenna and I have been overwhelmed by the response!! I went out in the evening to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. Mr F stayed home to babysit so it was nice to get out and be me for a change!
Hope you all had a good week! x

Wow! That was a busy week - I'm exhausted just reading about it. :-) I'm sorry to hear about your bunny though. He was lovely, but at least we can give our furry friends some peace when their time comes.

What a lovely write up of your week. Glad you managed to get some work and that the kids were nice to you - I imagine being a supply teacher can have its ups and downs! We had a lot of birthdays this week too - exhausting!

My view of supply teaching was that they always get treated a bit rough by kids but so far I have had none of that (touch wood it stays that way!!) xx

Arrr sorry about your rabbit, it is always hard saying goodbye :-( well done on the job front. I finished work nearly 3 years ago (OMG!) during my twin pregnancy and I would be so nervous about going back. Sounds like a good week, apart from poor Peter Rabbit. Hope next week is good x #TWTWC
