HappyDays Linky #01

Hello everyone! Welcome to the very first HappyDays linky with me and my lovely co-host Jenna! If you are new to it then check out this post for the explanation behind it all.

We really want to inspire people to make the most out of every day so I hope you will be able to join in. We are joining in ourselves as we too struggle to get motivated sometimes.

Out and About

I have done quite well this week! Monday we went to see a friend in a lovely indoor garden/ play area type place and on Tuesday we braved a mother and toddler group. As a rule I avoid them as I always feel like I am being judged. In my town I am a young mum (of 30!!) compared to most of the mums and they just look down their noses! I wrote a post earlier in the week about how I felt about being a ‘young mum’. Anyway we braved it and had a nice time, a few mums I know turned up and so I was more comfortable. G loves going and that is the only reason I persevere! The only problem I find with going out is nothing gets done with regards housework!

Fun at Home

This is something I really struggle with. It is hard to occupy a 9 month old and play with a 3 year old at the same time. I am not sure exactly what I do with my days but I never feel like I do a good job!

Tuesday was G’s birthday and she got some lovely crafty bits and bobs. We spent a whole afternoon cuddled on the sofa sticking tiny squares to make mosaic pictures. It was lovely to have one on one time while Baby L slept.

Our masterpiece!

On Wednesday we had a right laugh playing hide and seek! Now that Baby L is mobile she is always coming to find me anyway and it was hilarious watching her shocked face when she found me or G hiding.

Found you!

Found you!

I am still struggling to do baby things with L as obviously Little G is always around and gets really jealous. When it was just me and G I would do lovely age related activities with her and she really blossomed as a result.  If anyone has any ideas for joint activities I would love you to share them as I feel like Baby L misses out!

Time for me

Since becoming a mum 3 years ago I have let myself go! There is no time to do anything for myself- or that is how it seems. In fact it is all about making time! The problem is, I don’t even know what I want to do anymore! If I am honest I just want to sleep!! Ha!! After tweeting about my struggles Jenna mentioned a ‘facial in a box’ she had upstairs (I hope you got around to using it!!) which reminded me I had a pack of facemasks upstairs.

My Happiest Moment

We had bought a bike for Little G for her birthday. Seeing her face as she came downstairs and saw it in the living room was priceless. She has been banging on about it since her 2nd birthday so it was a massive build up but she was thrilled and hasn’t stopped riding it around the house all week! (We wont mention the scratches on the walls!!)

Little G, loving her new bike!

Next week I would like to.. make more of an effort with Baby L when we are at home.

Ok now it is your turn!! I am looking forward to hearing all about your HappyDays xx

I know exactly what you mean about not knowing what you want to do when you finally get some me time ... sleep is usually top of my list too! I hope your walls survive the new bike!

Thank you Amy! She had a great day, far too spoilt by the family though! Now the problem comes when I have to think what to get her for Christmas!

Love this linky! Great to be linked up with the first one :) It's tough entertaining two of those ages isn't it - promise it gets easier! Want to hear more about that bike - need to think about one for 3yo for Christmas!

Aww thank you :-) She chose it- criteria were cheerleader type handles and a chair for her dolly! I know many people like these balance bikes but I am old fashioned and it is just a normal bike with stabilisers! :-)

I am overwhelmed by the support for this linky! He did enjoy slapping it on a bit too much- what I didn't post was the picture of him in it too! Didn't think he would appreciate that! haha!
