73 Questions

Have you seen Vogue’s ’73 Things You Never Knew About…’ videos? They are quite addictive and in a way I wish I had done a video but I have taken part in the challenge after being tagged by Lucy over at Mrs H’s Favourite Things.

I had seen Lucy’s post, and Heledd’s, who did the tag before her, and really enjoyed reading their answers. At the time I had never heard of the original concept but have since enjoyed all nine videos. Here is Sarah Jessica Parker’s video, I do love her!

So, here are my 73 questions and answers:

1. Were you named after anyone?

My first name is Katherine, not named after anyone my mum just liked the name. My middle name is Mary, my mum felt I had been sent by God after 14 years of trying and so named me after the Virgin Mary. Always hated both names!

2. What’s your favourite movie?

Hmm, that is a toughie! I have a few favourites but I think maybe Pretty Woman is one I can watch over and over again.

3. When was the last time you cried?

I cry all the time, I cried the other day when I heard some terrible news.

4. On a scale of 1-10 how excited about life are you right now?

Probably today, after a long hard day at work, a 5.

5. Do you like your handwriting?

When I take my time I have very neat ‘teacher’ handwriting, however if I rush it is more like a doctor scrawl!

6. Instagram or Twitter?

Twitter

7. What’s your favourite food?

I love pulled pork! Especially when cooked in cider!

8. Least favourite food?

Cabbage- just stinky!

9. If you were another person, would you be friends with you?

I am just like my mum and at times do not get on with her- so probably not!

10. Favourite drink?

Milk

11. Do you like flying?

Absolutely hate it, not natural!!

12. Would you ever bungee?

After watching an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel air, where Hilary’s boyfriend died- no!

13.  Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Milk, always- I love white although technically that is not chocolate, it is a candy.

14. Coffee or tea?

Neither.

15. What is your favourite cereal?

I eat Weetabix every single morning without fail!

16. What is the hardest part about being a mum?

Not being able to switch off. I miss having a day off, to be me. Even when I have ‘days off’ I am never ever switched off.

17. If you could master an instrument, what would it be?

The piano- they say if you can play piano you can play anything.

18. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

No, and I tread backs down. Shame on me!

19. Do you think you are strong?

No not in either sense.

20. What is the first thing you notice about people?

I am not sure, I don’t think I have ever really thought about it. Maybe their smile, or their clothes. I will have to pay attention next time!

21. What is your least favourite thing about yourself?

My bottom/ thigh area. Working on that though!

22. What was the last thing you read because everyone was reading it?

The Happiness Project. In fact I have no idea where I have put it!! I haven’t seen it in a while!

23. If you had a tattoo, where would it be?

By my right hip bone.

24. To be or not to be?

Not to be.

25. Who do you miss the most?

My best friend, she moved 100s of miles away 4 years ago. I miss her all the time.

26. What was the last thing you ate?

Weetabix

27. What’s your favourite board game?

I love Game of Life! Not the new one though, that is awful!

28. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?

Mr F, he rings every day to say he is on his way home.

29. Best gift you’ve ever given?

Hmm, I was impressed with my cuddle basket this valentines day. I am not very good at gifts as a rule though.

30. Hair colour?

Brown

31. Eye colour?

Hazel

32. Scary film or happy endings?

Always love a happy ending.

33. What’s your favourite country to visit?

I really love Wales, it makes me feel homely after living there for 4 years.

34. Favourite colour?

Pink

35. Least favourite colour?

Purple

36. Diamonds or pearls?

Definitely diamonds

37. Hugs or kisses?

Umm, hugs.

38. How do you de-stress?

I write, blogging is a great release for me.

39. Heels or flats?

I love heels but having children has messed me up and now I am a flats girl.

40. How long have you been on Facebook?

I can remember when Facebook was all new, everyone was like ‘have you heard about this new thing on the internet? It is called face book.’ Haha, 2007 I joined in the fun!

41. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I am with Lucy, teleportation.

42. What is your favourite flower?

Gerbera

43. Do you bake?

Yes, not brilliantly but I do try.

44. Rolling Stones or The Beatles?

Not fussed by either to be honest, is that terrible?

45. Do you have a talent?

Not that I know of, not too bad at singing haha!

46. What album are you loving right now?

I love love London Grammar, so chilled but slightly eerie.

47. Where do you live?

In Hertfordshire, UK

48. Who was the last person you sent a text to?

I rarely text, I use watsapp but I did text my agency to let them know days I am free for teaching supply next week.

49. Is there a sport you wish you could play?

I hate sport, so no haha!

50. What is your favourite season?

My answer always changes depending on the time of year. I am sick of the cold so I am now going to say Summer.

51. Who is your girl crush?

Oh Jessica Alba has been my girl crush for so long! I love her!

52. Where were you born?

Am an Essex girl me.

53. Bath or shower?

Sitting in my own muck? Ummm, no thanks. Always showers.

54. Sweet or savory?

Savoury….. Hula Hoops/

55. What would the title of your autobiography be?

Ummm.. What Katy Said? Too obvious??

56. What is your favourite animal?

I do love kangaroos, always wanted to be one when I grew up!

57. Best invention?

The dishwasher 100%!!!! Ours broke and that was the hardest week of my life!!

58. Last photograph you took?

Little L enjoying the new book corner in her sister’s room. 

59. What is your favourite tv program?

I rarely watch tv these days, but we are trying to get up to date with Revenge. Is she ever going to get her revenge??

60. What do you like on your pizza?

Tuna and onion! Mmmm…..

61. If you could invite anyone over for dinner who would it be? 

That is a good question! But I actually have no idea! I need options!!

62. What is your favourite thing in the room you are in?

I love love love my photo wall behind my sofa!

63. Favourite Hitchcock movie?

I actually didn’t think I had seen one but I have!! I love Rebecca, was one of my mum’s faves and mine too. Always wanted a room just like hers (maybe a bit less eerie!)

64. Favourite band?

I am not one for particular bands but as I said above, I am loving London Grammar right now.

65. Favourite solo artist? 

I love Rita Ora’s voice

66. If you could sing a duet with anybody who would it be?

Ahhh Britney. That would be a fab karaoke!

67. Kittens or puppies?

Kittens

68. Last gift you gave a friend?

I think it was Christmas presents to my best friend, I sent her a plaque and a dvd … I think.

69. What is your favourite word that starts and ends in the same vowel?

abracadabra!

70. Blow dry or air dry?

My hair is curly unless I blow dry it!

71. Pilates or yoga?

I love both, just wish I had the time to do either!

72. When have you felt most nervous?

Walking down the aisle to my future husband. As I turned the corner I suddenly realised all eyes would be on me!

73. How difficult was it answering these questions?

Very!!! Typing them out was the hardest!
