Thomas & Friends – The Movie

Last weekend we were very lucky to be invited along to a film premiere, with a blue carpet!! I grew up watching Thomas The Tank Engine and both my girls love everything train related so it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday!

We arrived to cameras flashing as we walked down the blue carpet, I could definitely get used to that! Of course we had to get our photo taken with the fat controller and Thomas himself!

Of course I had to wear blue, I love any excuse to dress up and this Apricot dress made me feel like a million dollars. Add in my favourite Daniel Footwear wedges and I felt so confident!

Thomas & Friends – Sodor’s Legend Of The Lost Treasure

The movie was great, Little G was mesmerised the whole time and hasn’t stopped talking about it all week. The premise of the movie is that Thomas finds some treasure on one of his escapades and then has to stop an evil pirate stealing it! There was adult humour hidden within the script too and I am quite sure there was a reference to Magic Mike at one point!! Let me know if you spot that too!

If you are looking for a movie for the kids then I can definitely recommend it, they have updated characters which is great – I heard squeals of delight from kids in the audience when they heard their name! There was a guest appearance from Gordon though which was nice, I do still love the old characters and he was always my favourite!

We met up with Aby and her family at the event and after the movie the girls enjoyed a balloon sword fight! Oooh arrrrrrr!

Posing on the balcony had to be done too of course!

It was a great event and a fab movie, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the DVD as I know Little G would want to watch it again!
