I don’t know about you but I am starting to get very excited about Christmas. I know some people don’t like that it seems to start in August these days, but I love it. As soon as the summer holidays are over and X Factor comes on the tv I am totally ready for it.
I have already started making my lists and I have my eye on a few bits and bobs. I will be sharing some gift ideas in the next few weeks if you need some inspiration, I’ve got some cracking ideas this year – especially for us ladies!
Something we do every year is treat ourselves to new Christmas jumpers. I say we, it is more that I impose it on Mr F…. Anyway I love it, nothing better than wearing a festive knit I say! This year the lovely people at Matalan have sent us some really fun Christmas jumpers. You’ll have to keep an eye out for December’s Me & Mine portrait to see the 5 of us rocking them, although I am sure you’ll see us wearing them throughout the season.
You may have also seen that I bought the 5 of us matching Christmas pyjamas – also from Matalan actually. We all wore them this weekend and I haven’t smiled so much in a long time. Funniest thing is that Mr F forgot he was wearing his the next morning and opened the front door to the postman – so funny! If you want to get some then 100% of profits go to the Alder Hey children’s charity so it is well worth it!
Now obviously I have a few weeks to go until I can deck the halls, but I love getting cosy at this time of year so I’ve been sprucing up the living room with a few candles and new scatter cushions for autumn. I’ve been reading all about Hygge (I’ll write more about this in a few days if you’ve not heard of it) and I am loving my new cosy home.
Here is a sneak peak at something I bought – I have filmed a vlog to show you everything I got but need to get organised and edit it. So keep an eye out for that on my YouTube channel over the next couple of days.
It won’t be long now until the burnt orange colours will be replaced by reds and we’ll be putting up the tree! I cannot wait!!
Are you looking forward to Christmas?
