My girls love pretend play, their imaginations are fantastic and they are always making up different games. They also love to help me cook in the kitchen so I knew they would absolutely love to have a kitchen of their own. We were very lucky to be sent a Little Tikes Cook n Learn Smart Kitchen recently and they adore it – especially Lils who has played with it every day since it arrived.
It comes with lots of accessories, which means they can get playing straight away. The apples and tomatoes stick together with velcro so you can ‘chop’ them and you can ‘cut’ a slice of pie or pizza too. I like the fact that that even though it is a nice compact size, it still has everything you need in a kitchen – a fridge, oven & hob, sink and plenty of worktop space.
The most exciting feature is the fact that you are able to link up the kitchen to an app – how clever is that? The app is free to download and you slot your phone or tablet into the holder and start to play. Something that I am really impressed with is the fact the app recognises different actions you do on the kitchen itself, meaning it is truly interactive. The girls really like that the tap and the hob make noises when turned on – those sounds also work with or without the app which is good.
All in all it is brilliant! I am so impressed with the technology behind it all and I really like the fact that they can learn through play using the different options on the app.
Here is a little video we’ve made so you can see it in more detail…
Isn’t it fab? Little Tikes have got it spot on here and being Little Tikes I know it will last for years!

October 25, 2016 at 10:10 amHow fab is that. I love that you can link the kitchen up to the app. It would be great with or without I think. But my two love educating nail games on the iPad so this sounds fab. Little tikes is such a great brand they do some fab toys we have a few at home. Lovely post Katy really enjoyed it. Glad your littles are enjoying it so much it does look like so much fun xx

October 26, 2016 at 10:42 amWhat a fantastic idea! I love the integration of the app. I’m always bit anti technology with the kids but this feels like a more natural use for it as it still feels like they’re actively playing rather than turning into game zombies! Love this

October 26, 2016 at 7:10 pmI love the sound of this. I really like that it’s fully interactive too. That’s so clever. Role play kitchens are fab for getting children used to the kitchen and for inspiring them to love cooking. I love how they’ve completely modernised it with the app. x

October 27, 2016 at 10:22 pmThat looks class. I love the way it has the WiFi feature on it. It’s mad what you can get these days. I am about to pick up an ikea kitchen for the kids. We do have a kitchen which was from lidl but it was plastic and I hate it. Oven keeps opening. I never had any bad experience with little Tikes toys and we have so many.
