Siblings: March

Oh my word – I know I say it every month but this month the 15th has truly snuck up on me. So much so that I am writing this at 7.29am on the 15th after seeing a few other siblings posts floating around online!! Argh!!

We have had the most horrendous week with all of us having the Norovirus at one stage or another. Not fun at all but especially unpleasant when you are pregnant. However, we managed to bring a little sunshine to our lives on Sunday when we went to visit Mr F’s Grandma (don’t worry we weren’t contagious anymore) to have an Easter egg hunt in her garden. I’ll share more photos from the day later on but for now, here are a couple of the girls.

What I have really enjoyed about this month of watching them together has been the look of love in LJ’s eyes. She absolutely idolises her sister and she wants to spend every moment with her. It makes me think about how my little sister might have looked up to me at that age – and then makes me feel bad that I was probably not as lovely to her as I could have been (8 years between us, so I was 10 and a bit stroppy!).

This month has seen them move into their new room together and they now go to bed at the same time (Little G used to go up half an hour after LJ) and chat together for a little while. It was heartbreaking last Thursday as LJ had to sleep downstairs on the sofa with Mr F after being sick – she absolutely screamed the house down when Little G went up to bed without her. Poor lamb! They are both better now and back sharing their bunk beds again.

I am really hoping that the next month will bring more sunshine and a whole lot less germs – I cannot cope with any more illness now!
