With January being the month we were stuck in with germs, we made a promise to ourselves to treat February as though it was the beginning of the year- a start over if you will. January was so cold and miserable that we probably wouldn’t have done much anyway but February is looking to be much sunnier already.
Yesterday we decided to have a family day so we went into town to do a few bits and bobs and have some lunch. I cannot remember the last time we went out for lunch together. Mr F has been so busy recently and so mixed with illness we just haven’t done anything as a foursome.
We made our way into town and found a table in our local Wetherspoons. I wasn’t sure if it would be too busy but thankfully there was plenty of room and only a 15 min wait for food- perfect!
I made an effort and put on some makeup, nothing too heavy but enough that I didn’t feel like the slob I have been the past few weeks. I felt really great wearing my pink lippy- it is part of a little gift set from Clinique and I adore it! I also put on my new necklace- I will be writing about that soon and have one to give away so keep an eye out!
I had my brain tested with a word search with a difference – the words weren’t in straight lines – argh!
Who’s child is this? Mr F wasn’t a fan of her hair and now looking back at this photo I can see why- what a scruff pot!!
I ordered my favourite- I am such a creature of habit. If you are near Wetherspoons any time soon then try their Hog Burger- just amazing!
We ate until our bellies were stuffed – I was quite disappointed that I didn’t have room for dessert!!
We came home and felt so full we snuggled on the sofa to watch The Lion King. I got on with a few blogging bits and bobs and everyone else fell asleep!! For the first time in ages I felt as though we had a proper Saturday, no rushing around, no tidying (thank you Marie Kondo!!), just plenty of rest and cuddles.
I hope you had a good day too!
