Last week Little L turned 18 months old- how has that happened?? When she turned one the whole event was slightly overshadowed by Christmas so I thought I would follow a few other people’s example and throw her a party in the summer months instead.
Now of course as an 18 month old all she really wants to do is join in with her big sister but there are a few things she loves and that is dressing up and food! So I decided that a princess party would be perfect! We invited some of their little friends, Little O and his sister Little P (L’s bff!) and Little M who has been G’s bff since they were babies- such a cute bunch aren’t they?

We are big Disney fans in this house and Princess Sofia is a particular favourite. We were lucky enough to be sent a few goodies from LeapFrog to help make the day even more special, including the most gorgeous dresses! I want one for myself!
Everyone enjoyed bouncing on the trampoline in the sunshine, crafting crowns and playing together in their outfits. We were also sent the LeapTV to try out- what a fab piece of kit! The princesses had so much fun jumping around in front of the camera with the wand pretending to be Princess Sofia! If you are looking for a child friendly console this is definitely it!
No princess party would be complete without a prince and although he was outnumbered Little O enjoyed playing with the girls. He particularly enjoyed playing with our LeapPad3 and although it had a Little Mermaid game inside he worked out how to play the games included which were more his idea of fun.
We all had a lovely afternoon and both girls were exhausted by the time everyone left but have been wearing their dresses every day since as they loved being princesses so much! Here is a little video of the afternoon so you can see them all in the princessy glory!
Have you ever had a mid year party?
We were sent everything we needed for our party from LeapFrog, all words and thoughts are my own.

What a great idea- Luke and I both have Christmas birthday's and may well have to steal the idea of a mid-year celebration! Looks like the princesses had lots of fun. We will have to have a look at the leapPad 3, I needed some inspiration for my daughter's 4th birthday, thanks x
