After our delicious Degustabox last month I was really looking forward to receiving this month’s parcel and it did not disappoint! It was full of really tasty treats!
If you don’t know how Degustabox works, it is basically a service that introduces you to different brands and flavours each month. It kind of forces you to try things you wouldn’t necessarily choose when walking around the supermarket- great for people like me who get in a shopping list rut!!
This month’s box included:
- Weetabix On The Go – breakfast drinks
- Fru Snax – a mix of dried fruit and yoghurt snacks
- Lambrini – need I say more?
- Say Yes To No – crisps with no added nasties
- Newton’s Appl Fizzics – a fizzy apple drink
- Tasty Little Numbers – portion control ready meals
- Taking The Pea – flavoured peas
- Quinola Mothergrain – ready meals for kids
- There was also a bonus entry from Jele Beautie.
So working from the top down- The Weetabix drinks were really delicious and I have since added them to my weekly shop. I tried the chocolate and the vanilla and they were equally as tasty! They didn’t completely fill me up if I am honest but I think that is just a habit I would need to get into.
I had one of the shakes while I was building my new IKEA storage!
The Fru snacks were a huge hit with the girls. I had to pick out the yoghurt pieces so LJ didn’t eat them but she loved the dried strawberries! A great idea for packed lunch boxes!
I enjoyed the Lambrini while watching a movie with Mr F, it was really fruity and I could have glugged it down like a soft drink! A low percentage alcoholic drink but enough to make me a bit giddy!
The Say Yes To No crisps (or chips as they are called) were ok, I am quite fussy with my crisps and they weren’t something I would choose again. The girls enjoyed them though and it is good to know there are no nasties in them!
I am not sure whether I liked the Aple Fizzics or not. It was very sweet and a little sickly but that didn’t stop me from polishing off the whole bottle! I am not a huge fan of apple drinks so that is probably why I wasn’t 100% sure.
Now, the two Tasty Little Numbers caused me a great deal of confusion. They look as though they would be for adults but they are tiny! The packaging says ‘portion control’ and so I am guessing the small size is for people wishing to eat less to lose weight. I am not in to portion control at all so gave them to the kids- perfect size for their little tummies.
Taking the Pea is a curious little snack, cheese and onion flavoured peas! They were a huge hit though and I think I would get them for G’s lunchbox as a healthy snack.
I was happy to see Quinola in the box as we have tried that before and loved it! Such a tasty meal for kids- both mine really love it and we eat it all the time!
The bonus product, Jele, was devoured in under 10 seconds by LJ. I thought it was a juice drink but managed to have a little sip (much to her horror) and found it was a mushy jely consistency. A bit odd but full of goodness and she loved it!
So there we are, an interesting mix but a few new things to add to our shopping list in future!
Have you ever tried a Degustabox?
If you would like to try it then use AEP1J at the checkout you will get £3 off the price of the box! Enjoy!
We were sent the Degustabox to review. Ordinarily it would cost £12.99 a month on a subscription. All words and thoughts are my own.
