I really love joining in with this linky and I was lucky enough to meet Katie the other night at the MAD Blog Awards, right before she won the award for best baby blog! Well deserved!
I always know which photo I am going to use for my ‘ordinary moments’ as it always invokes some sort of emotion when I look at it. This week is no different.
If you saw my post last week you will know that my dad is not around at the moment. Without going into it too much I am now a child of divorce- aged 30!
This week, after 3 months, I finally saw him and it was awkward to say the least. I went along with my sister as I didn’t feel I could manage on my own. We sat in silence for most of it as I truly didn’t know what to say.
After lunch the girls and I went home via the park. As I looked at Little G walking along my eyes filled with tears. I love my girls more that anything in the world and it breaks my heart that their grandfather doesn’t want to play a part in their lives.
I don’t know how it will all turn out, but for now I have my little family- they make everything ok,

A break up is always hard at any age. My parents divorced when I was 10, they were awful together - now they are the best of friends! May be all you need is time, time is a great healer! New follower.

Oh Katy, I am sorry to hear you are going through a tough time. My parents divorced when I was younger and while it wasn't plain sailing, I have been lucky to maintain a close relationship with both of them, although due to circumstances it took a while to bury the hatchet with my Dads new wife. I hope things get sorted out for you eventually. It was lovely to meet you too briefly, I hope you and a fab evening! xx
