We are spending more time indoors now that the winter is here and our Netflix subscription is coming in so handy! Mr F and I don’t watch normal tv anymore, choosing to watch films and boxsets every night instead. The girls are allowed to have a little screen time each day too and they like to log into their account to see what kids shows are on.
There are some great festive films on at the moment – just yesterday we watched Arthur Christmas which is one of my favourites. To help us get into the spirit, Netflix sent us some paints, brushes and wooden baubles to decorate with our favourite Netflix characters.
The shape of the bauble lends itself to a face and the girls knew immediately who they wanted to paint – Popples!! Do you remember those? I had a few Popple cuddly toys as a child and they were my absolute favourite! When I saw that Netflix had made a show I was more excited than the girls!
We sat down to watch another episode and the girls chose who they wanted to have on their bauble. I drew their faces for them and then they chose the colours for each character.
Not too bad eh?
Gracie has really good control but I had to ‘help’ Lils otherwise she would have ended up with a brown blob of a bauble, haha!
Gracie painted Lulu, her favourite Popple and they all now take pride of place on the tree. Our tree doesn’t have a theme as such, it is just filled with our memories – these now add to the memories and the girls will always remember making them.
If you are looking for a last minute present for someone then a Netflix subscription would be perfect – I couldn’t be without it now!
