My Magical Mermaid

Bathtime is such a fun time, a chance for siblings to bond and enjoy each other’s company. I am always on the look out for fun toys to play with, whether that be some cups to fill and spill or something a bit different to spark their interest.

We recently found out about these cute little mermaids and thought we would give them a go. They are supposed to swim in water, flapping their tails just like a ‘real’ mermaid- sounds fun!

Both girls fell in love with them immediately, Little G having the pink mermaid Shelly and Little L having a purple one Corissa (They are recommended for 3+ but she likes to have everything her sister has and as long as i keep an eye she is fine with it).

The mermaids do indeed swim about and we had great fun watching them whiz about the bathtub! They come with little metal rings that you can place either on their tail or on their head and this weights them down to swim in different ways, we preferred making them bob about with their heads above the water.

Sometimes the girls can get a bit annoyed with each other during bathtime but on this day they played so nicely, the mermaids kept their interest the whole time. They are definitely going to be a staple toy for bathtime now and in the summer we can take them outside to our water tray!

Something that really impressed me as a parent was the fact they come with spare batteries- not that we will be needing them any time soon as they are showing no signs of running low at the moment.
