The last of the year. Another 12 months of family moments captured forever. I am so glad I started doing this as we now have a record of our little family, showing the girls changing and now their little brother too. Mr F never used to like being in front of the camera but I have made him realise that if he isn’t, the children will have no record of him. To be honest I have never been a huge fan of being in photographs but I want my children to be able to look back at photos and see what I looked like when they were little – I know I love looking at photos of my mum and me when I was a little girl.
There are a couple of group shots for you this month. The first lot are of us in our Christmas jumpers – you may have caught our photoshoot on YouTube during Vlogmas.
The second were taken on Christmas day in our matching pjs. We wore them throughout December and although Mr F objected at first he was actually the one who wore them the most and will probably continue into the new year!
We have had a lovely month together, with plenty of days out as a family and of course Mr F and Gracie being off over the holidays. It is so nice being able to spend time as a whole family – especially as January will see Lils starting pre-school! It will just be me and Wills on two afternoons, not sure I am going to know what to do with myself as it will coincide with his naps! I might nap myself!!
This year has seen a big change in our family and as much as I thought we were adjusting it seems that we still have a way to go. Mainly me being the one needing adjusting really as lack of sleep is starting to take its toll and it is meaning I am starting to lose patience with the girls more. I have made a few changes here and there which will mean I get a bit of time to myself every day and am going to make a real effort to make more time for myself this year too.
This time last year I was just starting out on my pregnancy journey, this year I feel like as a family we are starting a new chapter, one as a family of 5. We have a few plans for the year and I am looking forward to seeing what else the year will hold for us all.

Your matching stripes pjs are just amazing I love them. Saw these over instagram wish I had scooped up some for our family. Love a good matching snap or two. Glad all went well over holidays. Preschool for my littlest as well we will have them in school come September can you believe it? Happy New Year lovely. #meadnmineproject

Oh Katy, I'm so pleased you did the shots in the PJs - I love them! You're so right about the children having pictures to look back on, I love looking at my family photos from childhood and it's so nice to continue those memories for our little ones xx
