If there’s one way to make sure a day out is successful, it’s to find the face painting stall, isn’t it?
I am such a big kid as I love it too. I love seeing the magic unfold as the brushes transform their faces into whatever creation they can imagine. It always amazes me, the face painters are always so incredible – I wish I could be as talented.
I actually had a go over Halloween when Snazaroo sent us some themed kits. Such a great idea as they come in little packs with everything you need to create a specific character.
I’m no expert but I was really impressed with how they turned out!
It was Lil’s birthday party the other weekend and Snazaroo asked if we’d like to have one of their face paint artists come for the day. Her face, honestly you’d think it was the queen coming!
Our lovely face painter arrived in plenty of time and got herself set up quickly before the guests arrived. Lils was so excited to see her – she’d been talking about having her face painted for weeks!
Of course, she was the first in the chair and excitedly asked to be a butterfly.
She sat as still as a statue and had a huge grin throughout.

Gracie was next and wanted to be her favourite, a tiger.

Such a simple look but so effective! She was happy as a clam!
As the children arrived, we wrote their names on a list and called them, as and when it was their turn. We had princesses, pirates, lions and even a Dalmatian puppy!
It was such a fun party and having face painting just gave it that extra wow factor!
