As a mother you are always on the lookout for healthy foods that you know your children will love! I am very lucky in that both of mine have never been fussy eaters and will always try absolutely everything. So I know I can give them anything and they will enjoy it. So, with taste sorted I then look to how healthy something it and how convenient it will be to make it! I am a busy mother after all!
This time last year Little G was rushed to A&E as she was all but unconscious. It was possibly the worst day of my life to date and I never want to repeat it. It all happened as she has Toddler Hypoglycemia– please read this post about it to see if your child may have it too.
Toddlers burn such high levels of energy it is so important to give them enough food throughout the day, little and often. Since last March I have been looking into different foods and finding those that will help her to maintain a balance throughout her day. That is when I stumbled upon Quinoa- it is a superfood, containing slow release carbs which will help keep them feeling full for longer.
When Quinola asked me if I would like to try their kid’s range I was very excited, it has been specifically developed for children (aged 3+) and contains all the goodness they need. We were sent one of each flavour and I have to say, each of them were delicious! Little G’s favourite was the Tex Mex as she loves kidney beans but she enjoyed all of them.
What was our verdict?
Normally Little G will ask for a snack at about 3pm but on the days where she has Quinola for lunch she was able to last until 5.30pm before she was hungry. She loved the taste and finished her bowl every single time- a big thumbs up from her!
I love the fact they are so easy to prepare, you open the packet and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds! How easy is that? I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for convenient, tasty and healthy food for their kids- so that will be every mum then!
We were sent Quinola in return for our honest review, all words and thoughts are my own.

OMG Kate that is amazing my two have always been fussy, Joe is so much better than Jack but Jack used to be terrible, fortunately as he is growing up he is improving but they would have never eaten quinoa with spices wow. i have no idea why as we aren't fussy eaters, isn't it odd how it develops x

I don't know what causes it, I think it is just something that is in-built. x
