Why I Love Vlogging - What Katy Said

Why I Love Vlogging

I’ve been blogging for a few years now- since Lils was a baby in fact! I have documented milestones and precious memories that would otherwise been lost to my very poor memory. I have thousands upon thousands of photos of our lives and I have found a love of writing that I never knew I had. I will blog forever now, whether anyone reads my ramblings or not, as it has become a part of who I am. But I have a new love now, another project I am building up – my YouTube channel.

I have had my channel for the same length of time as I’ve been blogging and over the years I have picked up followers (mainly from unboxing videos – people do love a good unboxing video!) but never taken it seriously. Over the last few months though I have become a little addicted to making videos as they are so much better at capturing memories. I would give anything to have videos of myself as a child – the only proof of my childhood is a lone cassette tape of me saying my colours aloud.

I film our weekends each week as I love to watch them back, to see my children laughing and smiling. I wish I had started when Gracie was little as I just can’t remember what she was like back then. Thankfully it is never too late to start and I will have so many memories captured now, including my birth video for Wills – something that is so precious to me.

I really want to build up my channel, share more than our memories and create videos to help and inspire you. This week I posted my morning makeup routine – it was so fun to make and if just one person decides to make more time for themselves then I’ll be happy. If there is anything you’d like to see then do let me know. Someone has already requested a weekly shop vlog as she doesn’t see how I feed us all for 50 quid! So keep an eye out for that!

Here are a few of my latest videos if you want to see the sort of thing I am doing these days…

and if you fancy subscribing I would love you forever!
