Inside: A look at our Haven holiday at Perran Sands in Cornwall
Holidays have always meant going abroad for me, being able to escape the British weather and explore the wonderful world we live in.
But that has meant that we’ve totally overlooked the beauty that the British countryside has to offer!
Over the last few years, we have come to appreciate how much is right here on our doorstep and with the gorgeous weather we have been having it means that we don’t have to travel far to have an amazing holiday.
Cornwall is somewhere I have never explored before, as a child or an adult, but somewhere I would now go back to again and again.
We went down to Perranporth for a week to stay in Haven’s Perran Sands holiday park and had such an amazing time – we didn’t want to come home!
The thing I love about Haven is that they have their parks in gorgeous parts of the country and encourage you to go out and explore the local area.
That is what we spent our week doing!
Starting off with the amazing beach on the park’s doorstep!
Before we’d even unpacked, we went down to see what the beach was like. It is very quiet – perfect for letting the kids run around.
Quick change for dinner.
With a few mocktails to keep the girls happy.
Before heading back to watch the sunset.
The caravan was really lovely – I have a full tour on my video of the week if you want to see what it was like inside.
One of the local beaches is St Agnes and is perfect if you want a secluded beach away from the larger crowds.

Somewhere we have wanted to go for years has been The Eden Project.
If you haven’t been then you need to add it to your list – it is incredible!
We spent the whole day there and the great news is, you get to go back again within a year using the same tickets. So we are going to try and go again in August as there was still so much to see.
We did get a couple of rainy days but Haven have plenty on offer to keep you busy. Lils wanted to learn to ride a bike so we signed her up for the Learn 2 Bike session using our activity pass.
And she passed with flying colours!
If you saw my Instagram post a few months ago you’ll have seen that Gracie was a pro at Segway. She has been wanting another go for ages so we made sure to put her name down.
We also did the Water Confidence session with Wills and the girls had a couple of swimming lessons. So many different activities to choose from – there is no excuse to be bored!
There was a free baby sensory session on one of the mornings and then a photo opportunity with their favourite Character, Anxious.
The week went by so quickly but there was time for one last adventure. There is a little fishing village called Charlestown, which is a grade II listed harbour. It has been used as a key location for the filming of Poldark and is just a really lovely place to have a cream tea.
If you want to watch what we got up to then I filmed our week…
If you are looking for your next holiday destination then give the UK a try. There is so much to do, so many places to explore and you don’t have to travel by plane or boat to get there! Well, unless you are coming from abroad that is!
Haven holiday parks offer the best of both worlds – being situated in beautiful areas of the country but also having onsite entertainment for days when you don’t want to go too far.
Thank you to Haven for having us – we had an amazing time. All words and thoughts are my own.
