HappyDays Linky #12

Welcome to HappyDays! I co-host this linky with Jenna (Tiny Footsteps) so please do remember to go over to her post and say hi! We want to inspire you to make the best out of every day, to appreciate the little things in life and have happy days.

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! I am really looking forward to reading all about your Christmas traditions, the highs and lows of Christmas day (family feud anyone?) and most importantly, those beautiful little faces seeing that Father Christmas had visited in the night! Whatever you did and however it went I hope you managed to enjoy it.

The new year is here now, happy 2015 everyone!! If like me your new year resolution is to lose weight and get fit then do please check out my post- New year New you. I am going to be trying my best to lose 2 stone and also just try to look after myself a bit more!

Ok over to my Christmas…

Out & About

We didn’t go out too much, if at all to be honest. We have really made the most of having Mr F home for the holidays and have spent time at home together as a family. We did go to visit family which was lovely, especially visiting my grandparents- I don’t get to see them much as they live quite far away. My Nain (grandmother in Welsh) has been poorly recently so it was nice to see her. I always worry when I don’t see her for a while.

Grandma,

Fun at Home

Well this is what Christmas is all about isn’t it? We had such a lovely Christmas and I am sad that is over for another year. We hosted Christmas day this year – ordinarily it would have been my mum but what with everything that has gone on with my dad I felt it was best if we had her and my sister to ours. Having the girls to keep her mind off everything was just what she needed and we all enjoyed opening our presents.

Christmas, family1- Goodbye Edwin the elf // 2- L amazed at what she found Christmas morning // 3- New Elsa dress! // 4- Opening presents // 5- Frozen cushion // 6- Playing games with daddy // 7- New camera for G too // 8- Baby L // 9- Enjoying her new piggy bank // 10- New Barbie horse // 11- Daddy trying to be artistic during dinner // 12- Trying to complete the Cadbury Roses puzzle

Time for Me

I was so very lucky to be given a DSLR camera for Christmas from Mr F. I have spent every second practicing and I feel like even in the short time since receiving it I have improved. I am going to be taking part in a photography project with Mummy B this year and am looking forward to completing it!

Photography

Now you may be wondering what the above photo is – but it took ages to work out how to show movement by experimenting with shutter speed and aperture! Obviously the photo itself is nothing exciting but I was pretty chuffed that I understood how to use the different settings!

My Happiest Moment

Seeing Little G’s face when she opened her Elsa Doll from Father Christmas. She had asked him for it and he had sent a video from the North Pole saying she was on the nice list so she knew she would be getting it but still, it was nice to see the pure joy on her face! Baby L thoroughly enjoyed opening her presents too, she is all about ripping stuff so it was such fun for her!

Next week I would like to…

I really want (need!) to stick to my new year resolutions this year and so I intend on working hard on setting new routines. If I have a routine then I will be able to stick to it!

Ahhh so much happy in this post.

It's fab that you have a shiny new camera to play with - the marble photo is ace, I wouldn't have the first idea of how to do that! You are a quick learner!!

The girls looked like they loved Christmas. :)

I have had my DSLR for a few years now and I absolutely love it!! I took online classes and have loved learning about my camera - I'm going to look into that photography project as I feel my DSLR is getting left in the bag more and my camera on my phone is being used, I want to rekindle my love for my DSLR!

Loving all your photos from Christmas. Looks like you had a really great time!

Happy New Year!
