Welcome to the #HappyDaysLinky, I co-host with Jenna from Tinyfootsteps and our aim is to inspire others to make the most out of every day. Every week we will each choose 2 posts that we enjoyed- whether that be because they made us cry, laugh or inspired us to get going!
Wow! What a week we had last week again, so many lovely posts- many of which had me welling up again!! It is so amazing that you make the time to join in with this linky! Both Jenna and I really appreciate it and love reading your posts!
I really enjoyed Vickie’s post over at A Pocketful of Dandelions. Vickie and Bubs braved the rain to go muddy puddle jumping – something I have yet to do this year! They also had great fun at home making some fabulous fairy wings!
I was in tears reading the lovely letter from ‘To Cocopops, Love Mamma x‘. ‘Mamma’ was able to appreciate a happy moment even in the saddest of times. Have a read for yourself. x
And now for my week!
Out and About
If it wasn’t for my lovely sister-in-law we would have been cooped up the whole week! From my last post to Thursday the only time I had left the house was to go to work on Tuesday. The girls hadn’t gone anywhere at all!! It isn’t through not wanting to but all of us have been ill and I have done something to my ankle too (don’t know what!) and so I am trying not to walk on it much.
Anyway, yesterday we went shopping with my SIL. She is married to Mr F’s brother and adores the girls. I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like but I am hoping that once they decide to have children that will change (wink wink nudge nudge!)
I wanted to get some clothes as after 17 days of my #30daywardrobechallenge I am realising I truly do not have enough clothes! We had a lovely day looking around the shops and had a cheeky McDonalds (shhh don’t tell Mr F!)
Fun at Home
We have actually done really well with this aspect – had to really seeings as we didn’t do anything outside of these 4 walls!! We got the ball pit out of storage- not sure why I hadn’t thought to get it out sooner as Baby L has been crawling for ages…. oh wait, I remember why….. SO MANY BALLS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha!! While I despaired at the balls rolling under furniture the girls had great fun. We also got the pop up house and the tunnel out so the living room looked a bit like an obstacle course!
Another fun day was had getting the play kitchen out of the conservatory and turning the living room into a supermarket/ house. We spend most of the day playing together and it was really lovely. Most of the play food is now covered in dribble courtesy of Baby L but it was nice to be able to play with both of them.
One afternoon while Baby slept I made Little G a tray of cornflour gloop. I had been reminded about it while at work (was supply in nursery all day) and thought she would love it. At first she was a bit hesitant as she isn’t one for mess but after a while she got properly stuck in and was fascinated by its properties!! To be honest it fascinates me!!!
Time for Me
Massive fail on this one, not a very good example to set I know so I am hoping you have done better this week! I have felt so run down and a bit stressed (you may have seen that my blog was on the verge of being lost forever on Monday night. I could have quite easily been sick I was so scared of losing it all!).
My Happiest Moment
Sounds a bit silly but Mr F agreed that I can paint one of our living room walls. We decorated in a rush when we moved in just to make it clean and fresh but no thought went into it. I spend far too much time on Pinterest looking at other people’s houses and after a while it made me feel a bit naff about our house. So, I have decided to do something about it and will be starting #projectspruce lol!
Next week I’d like to…
I definitely need to make more of an effort with myself next week. I feel totally gross after being all fluey this week so hopefully next week will bring a germ free household and more time for bubble baths!

Aw hope you're feeling better now! The photos are fab. Looks like you had lots of fun playing at home. Haha I can totally relate to #projectspruce. We're in military marriage quarters so it takes a lot to convince the husband to let me do up rooms when they have to go back to the way they were when we leave! x

Oh yeh I can see why he wouldn't want to do it. Although my husband is the same- he always says to sell a house everywhere needs to be magnolia and bare. So that is what we have had for 2 years. I've put my foot down and #projectspruce is in full swing!! x

Oh no, sorry you've had a poorly week, I hope you're ok now and your ankle is better too. It sounds like you've had tons of fun at home, we are huge fans of the ball pit too and constantly have a living room full of plastic balls. So worth it to see the littluns enjoying themselves though isn't it! Here's hoping you get lots of time for bubble baths and #projectspruce next week! xxx

I am feeling much better thank you, and the girls are pretty much on the mend now too. I always think a messy house is a fun house (it is what I keep telling myself anyway!) x

Phew - I am so glad that you got your blog sorted, I would've been totally stressed too!
Gloop is amazing and it totally messes with my head. haha!
Oh, I'm planning on getting Jasmine a ball pool for Christmas. Sounds like I may live to regret that. ;) xx

We are all much better now thank you, we hibernated away from the world so as not to catch anything else! x

Oh, the ball pit looks like lots of fun! Might have to get some balls and 'convert' the paddling pool into one for R.
How stressful about your blog, what a massive relief it must be to have it all back.
I like the sound of Project Spruce, I'll look out for your posts/pics! Jess x

As much as the balls are a nightmare I have to put up with them as both my girls love them! I will be posting about all the sprucing once it is done, I am just trying to plan a photo wall!!
