Happy Days: Time away from germs and mess

We have been away all week at Butlins and despite the rain putting pay to any trips to the beach, we have had a really lovely time. It has been so nice to get away from the craziness that is our house right now and away from the germs that seemed to have infested us the last few weeks.

I will be writing up about our holiday soon but here are a few things that have made me smile from our time away:

– Best friends. My girls always seem to get on even better on holiday. They look after each other and are completely inseparable the whole time.

– Laughter. Life can get too serious with the normal day to day goings ons can’t it? Being away has allowed Mr F and I to just relax and enjoy each other’s company. The more he relaxes the more he laughs and that makes me laugh too.

– Water fun. For the longest time, the girls have hated getting their faces wet. It makes hair washing a nightmare and they’ve never fully embraced a pool. Well this week they have dunked themselves and been splashing around as though they have always loved it.

– Maid service. Every day we have had someone come make up our beds and do a general clean of our chalet. They have made us towel sculptures and left happy notes on our chalk board. So nice!

The whole week has been lovely and I am definitely a Butlin’s convert! Just a shame we had a rainy week really!
