Happy Days: The Online World, Time Away and A Blue Wall

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

Ok I am going to be honest, I am struggling right now. If you follow me on YouTube or managed to catch my Insta story the other day, you’ll know we are in the middle of a huge declutter and that my house resembles a junk yard at the moment. All of the contents of our garage are currently sitting in my living room, which is also a state in its own right after being re-plastered on Thursday and our bedroom is on the landing and in the hall awaiting our new bed. Mayhem doesn’t even cover it.

They say a tidy home is a tidy mind and I can definitely confirm that the opposite is true – my mind is a complete mess! I completely forgot to comment on Happy Days posts last week, I forgot an important appointment and I have just generally lost my sparkle. It is so hard to get organised when you are surrounded by complete chaos.

Thankfully, by the middle of next week the house will start to get back to normal and I will be able to get back on track with everything. The only thing keeping me going is the fact that I know that all of this hard work will pay off at the end when it is all finished.

So what has kept me smiling this week?

– Online friends. Without going into too much detail, I have been feeling a little low around the school gates. Being able to go online and chat to some pretty incredible people has definitely kept me going this week.

– Bashful boy. Wills is so funny, he hates attention and will look down in a bashful way as soon as anyone talks to him. The more people try and talk to him the more bashful he becomes and it is so endearing. I’ll have to try and capture it on IG stories so you can see, so cute.

– Blue wall. The garage got painted today (it is a garage conversion) and I chose a lovely seaside blue for the back wall – I am going for a seaside theme overall and am really excited for the end result.

– Car boot. I haven’t been yet but tomorrow at 5am I am off to the local car boot sale to basically offload the contents of my house, haha! I cannot wait to come back with an empty car- even if it means selling everything for a penny!

– Birthday meal. Wednesday was Mr F’s birthday and we went out for a pub dinner. The weather has been so nice hasn’t it, so being able to sit outside in the sunshine was lovely.

– Our weekend in the New Forest. What a gorgeous place! Take a look at my post if you haven’t seen it already.

I’ve written this post in two parts, starting it earlier on and just finishing it now after being out with a mum friend from school. It is 11.08 and I am desperate to go to sleep so I will leave it there I think.

I hope you’ve had a good week!

Sorry to hear you're struggling. I hope this week has been better for you! I know how you feel at the school gates too, sometimes I just feel like hiding away and not in the mood for chatting at all! How lovely you have good online friends to confide in. Awesome about the car boot sale! I need one to sell all my extraneous items too #happydayslinky

Oh crikey, I'm the same. I hate clutter (and de-cluttering!) with an absolute passion. Any kind of upheaval brings me out in a cold sweat... and we're about to start painting our daughter's room. Ugh! Thanks for hosting #happydayslinky

I'm loving the sound of the garage conversion, I can't wait to see pictures! It's so cute when kids do that bashful look, my son used to when he was a toddler and it was adorable. My youngest couldn't be bashful if she tried ? #HappyDaysLinky
