Happy Days: A Night Out, Scatter Cushions and Freedom

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

It only seems a minute that I was writing last week’s happy list and yet here I am trying to wrack my brain to think about what on earth we have done this week! It has been a good week on the whole, with just a tiny blip on Wednesday when I ended up shouting at the girls. It wasn’t even their fault, I’d just had a bad day and events seem to conspire against me.

Thankfully there have been plenty of happy things to keep me smiling…

– My newwwwww coat! If you haven’t see it yet then pop on over – that is what I was on about last week and I am still in love with it!

– A night out. I actually went out out on my own! Well not on my own – with the other mums from Reception. It was so nice to be out of the house!!

– Feeling free. Breastfeeding is mentally hard work, almost feeling as though you are trapped sometimes. I have teamed up with Nûby and thanks to their breast pump I feel as though I can have much needed time out if I feel the need.

– Baby friends. I finally met up with an old friend who had a baby a month before Wills was born. With us both having newborns it has been tricky to find the time but it was so lovely seeing them both together. Just a shame she doesn’t live nearer.

– NCT pre-sale. It has only been a couple of weeks since the last one but it was time for the annual toy sale. So many bargains to be had, just in time for Christmas! Hurrah!

– Autumn. I just love this time of year don’t you? I treated myself to some scatter cushions (you can imagine Mr F’s delight) and some other bits and bobs to make the living room more cosy.

– Chocolate Brownies. I am now dairy and soya free and so have been on the look out for great recipes to try. I have a sweet tooth and so decided to make some brownies – yum!! Will share the recipe in the next couple of weeks!

– Christmas PJs. Oh my days I cannot tell you how excited I am – I got all 5 of us matching pyjamas! Mr F was thrilled of course (haha!) and I cannot wait to take photos of us all in them!!

As ever I can’t remember half the things I have done this week! The time is flying so quickly and how is it even half term?!! Crazy!

Have a good weekend!

Good for you getting out and about by yourself! I regret not giving LP a bottle earlier, as now at 8 months she is turning her nose up at it if Daddy offers it to her! Look forward to hearing your brownie recipe. x
