How is it half term next week? It doesn’t seem a minute that G started school and now here we are, half way through the first term. I’ll be honest, I am just a teeny bit excited that Christmas is getting closer – it is my favourite time of year. Before I can get festive though, there are a few autumnal things I want to do with the girls and half term is the perfect time to get them done.
Mr F is off all week too, so I want to make the most of the week – weekends never seem long enough and so having him and my biggest girlie home all week will be a real treat. I thought I would share our half term bucket list with you so it may give you some ideas but also so I am held accountable (and so my poor baby brain doesn’t forget!).
– Pumpkin Carving. I have already bought the pumpkin so that is already a step towards getting that done. Sainsbury’s have giant ones for £3, which is good I think.
– Leaf collecting. I want to go on a nice long country walk and collect lots of lovely leaves. Hopefully there will still be some conkers lying about too as we seem to have lost the ones we picked a couple of weeks ago.
– Autumn/ Halloween crafts. Once we’ve collected the bits and bobs I want to make some fun things with the girls. If you are stuck for ideas then this fab video from The Parent Pod has some great ideas!
– Halloween party. We have been invited to a Halloween party so that is definitely going to happen. I can’t wait!
– Watch a scary movie. I love nothing more than snuggling on the sofa to watch a dvd. I am sure there will be a few scary movies on Netflix to choose from. Well, I say scary… scary for a 5 year old anyway haha!
– Teepee fun. We haven’t had chance to use our myweeteepee for ages but I fancy setting it up outside and having an autumn picnic with hot chocolate and marshmallows! So much fun!
That is all I can think of for now – have I missed anything? What are you planning to do over half term?
