Happy Days: Britmums, A New Buggy And Outstanding Contribution

Oh thank goodness for the weekend! Not that the week has been particularly long but I am sitting here after a particularly long Friday. I was actually saying to Sian the other day how I have never once got so fed up with the girls enough to be glad when it is bedtime – I think I jinxed it as today I have been counting down the hours. They are upstairs in bed now and Mr F has gone to play football, leaving me to try and refocus and recenter myself. It hasn’t been that they have been a problem, more so the fact that I got about 4 hours uncomfortable sleep last night and so am Mrs Grumpy.

Tomorrow is a new day though and we are off to CBeebies Land – have you been? It will probably be the end of my hips haha but the girls will have a great time and that is all that matters. Anyway, I am just looking through my phone to see what we’ve even done this week….

What is on my happy list? 

– Seeing lovely lovely people at Britmums at the weekend. It was a super long day and I practically fell into bed but it was worth it for all the people I got to meet.

– The compliments I got for my dress at Britmums. I really loved it and felt so comfy all day. If you are looking for maternity wear I can recommend MumMe – they are so lovely.

– Watching the girls play with their uncle. We don’t get to see him often as he works a lot but they had great fun being pushed around in a wheelbarrow!

– Being nominated for outstanding contribution in the MADs for being an unsung hero. I’m a bit hormonal so that made me all teary. I don’t imagine for one minute I will win (or make the finals… not entirely sure where the nominations get you to…) but for someone to have said that truly means a lot.

– Finding out I had won a Cosatto buggy!! If you were at Britmums you may have seen it in the camping lounge – I only went and won it didn’t I?!! It is beautiful!!!

– Snapchat filters. So I know I mentioned it last week but honestly, it is so funny! The girls think it is the best thing ever and LJ even climbed into bed with me one morning and said ‘funny faces mummy’ and I knew exactly what she was wanting!! haha!!

So that was this week as far as I can remember. I feel a bit of a fraud hosting a happy based linky when I am feeling so bloomin’ grumpy but it just shows from my list above that there is happy around you even when you feel like you need to shut yourself in a cupboard!!
