Getting Ready For Our Holiday

Holidays are just amazing aren’t they? They leave you feeling refreshed ready to face the world again! Whether you stay in the UK or go abroad it is so important to take a break from normal life once in a while, to get away from the day to day drudgery that is housework and work!

getting ready for our holidayI have not been abroad in almost 5 years since we went to the Caribbean for our honeymoon. Before that was probably 5 years again and actually that was the Caribbean too (probably why we don’t manage to go on holiday very often!!). The girls have obviously never been abroad and so know nothing about passports and the joy of packing!

We went on our very first holiday this year when we were lucky enough to be invited to Bluestone Wales. Blogging has brought me such amazing opportunities and I am forever thankful. Something that absolutely made my day the other week was receiving an email from Eurocamp inviting us to go on one of their holidays this summer! I actually screamed out loud when I read it- we will be able to take the girls abroad!!!

Ever since I have been planning what I am going to be packing and the holiday ‘look’ I am going to try and achieve!

getting ready for holidays

1. PLAYSUIT I love playsuits, the fact that they have the word play in them immediately makes them fun don’t they? Holidays are for getting your legs out so this is definitely going in the suitcase!

2. HAT I love hats but I only really wear them on holiday. It is a shame as they really suit me, maybe I should set myself a goal of wearing one a week! This fedora is just so cute!

3. SUNGLASSES I have these sunglasses and practically live in them all year round. Whether it is that awful winter sun or the gorgeous summer sunshine I couldn’t be without them!

4. WEDGES These are the only type of heel I can cope with these days! I love feeling tall (although at 5’9″ that isn’t ever a problem) so wedges are a must- they also make your legs look thinner!!

5. SWIMMING COSTUME Gone are the days of bikinis for me, I just don’t feel comfortable in them. I much prefer a lovely swimsuit which has built in support to make me feel gorgeous! This lovely swimming costume is from Miraclesuit and holds me in exactly where I need it! It is made from strong fabric too so will hold its shape wash after wash!

I cannot wait to go on our holiday, with these key items I am going to look and feel fabulous! Hopefully the sun will shine for the whole week and I will come back with a tan (although it will only last about a day!)

What are your holiday essential wears?

I was sent the Miraclesuit costume but as always I only ever recommend items that I truly love.

Oh that looks like a great packing list for somewhere wonderfully sunny and warm! I'm with you on most of it, though at 6'0" I really don't need the height of wedges so I'd go for my old faithful sandals!!
