FunFest Summit 2015

I really love blogging events, they are always so much fun and so when I heard about FunFest I knew it was going to be great- the clue was in the name really wasn’t it? The best thing was I was able to take the kids with me, I don’t know about you but having my girls with me gives me inner strength, a sort of mum super power if you will.

We set off nice and early and as we arrived we spotted my lovely friend Michelle from The Purple Pumpkin Blog. We had seen her at BlogStock a couple of weekends before so was lovely seeing her again so soon! We were then welcomed into a large room and invited to enjoy pastries and coffees (it was only 9am!) to help wake us up for the day.

We were also greeted by giant balloons, one of which was Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony. Little G soon became very attached and wouldn’t let anyone else play with it!

It was soon time to go to the conference room to listen to the various speakers. The highlight of the talks was hearing my lovely friend Vicki from Honest Mum speak. If you follow me on Periscope you may have seen the live stream, it all got a bit emotional at one point and I just wanted to give her a big squeeze. I did manage to give her a big hug later on in the day!

For me though the day was all about the brands and the hands-on activities they had laid on for the kids. As a parent blogger my children are a huge part of my blog and so being able to see them interact with the toys gave me and the brands an insight into what a partnership would look like!

There were so many brilliant toys for the kids, it gave me lots of ideas for Christmas (or I should say Little G added quite a bit to her Christmas list!). I am going to be working with quite a few of the brands in the next few months so keep an eye out for some really amazing gift ideas for your own kids!

A huge thank you to FunFest for inviting me along, it was a great day and all three of us had a fantastic time. A special thank you to Amscan for letting us take Pinkie Pie home with us- she took up the whole front seat and is now taking pride of place in Little G’s room- you made one little girl eternally happy!

If you want to connect with great brands then you need to get yourself tickets for next year’s Funfest!

Funfest looks great, although I didn't hear about it. I keep meaning to start going to more blogger events!

This does sound like great fun. Being pregnant or not knowing what to do with the kids has put me off going to blogger events so far. I hope this one runs next year!

Lovely seeing you and the girls so soon too! It looks like they had a marvellous time trying out all of the toys on offer! Like you, we got to bring home one of those huge balloons - a Storm Trooper, which is currently freaking me out every time I walk down the stairs as it's like there is another person in the room hahah! xx
