Fashion Focus- Some of my favourite shoes

I love shoes, of all the accessories in the world they are by far my favourite! This has not always been the case, as a child I hated them- being a tall girl meant I had big feet. Big feet equals ugly shoes when you are living in the 80s and 90s!

Thankfully, we now live in a world where bigger feet are now the norm and most shops go up to a 9! I am only an 8 so I love that I have so much more choice. Even niche stores like Ballroomshoes.com now offer stylish options in extended sizes, which is such a win for those of us who used to struggle to find anything cute!

I was sorting through my wardrobe the other day and found lots of shoes I had forgotten about – number one rule of shopping: always shop in your wardrobe first!! I thought I would share some of my favourite shoes with you.

BLACK HEELS

I love my black heels, they are definitely an evening shoe for me and I will return to these again and again. It took me a while to get this pair as so many heels you find these days have a platform. At 5ft 9 I am tall enough as it is without adding more height than necessary!

BALLET PUMPS

As a mother I now live in flats and so have a fair collection of ballet pumps. These are my newest and I love them. Bang on trend for summer with the nautical feel too and assuming I don’t wear them out this summer I can wear them again next year!

SANDALS

It is a good job I shopped in my wardrobe first as I totally forgot I had these sandals! I almost bought a pair at the weekend but couldn’t find any that were quite what I wanted. I think I am going to wear these to Britmums next week, for the casual look on the Saturday- we shall see!

CREAM HEELS

Now I know I said I don’t need a platform heel but these are my exception! I adore my cream heels as they make my legs look so long and thin!

SHOE BOOTS

Ah, my old faithful shoe boots. I have had these for so long now but I wear them so often. As they have a block heel they are very comfortable so can be worn without fear of your feet hurting after 10 minutes! I love the zip detailing at the top, I am a big fan of detailing!

DSC_0388So there we have it, 5 of my favourite pairs of shoes. There are so many more I would love to show you but I will have to save them for another time!

What are your favourite styles to wear?

I LOVE your shoes with a slight bit of jealousy. My feet are size 2-3 and court and ballet shoes are generally a no-no (unless coming from the kits section -VAT free but you pay for the flashing lights ;) im a converse/boots gal x

Wow such tiny feet! I would love to have smaller feet, be a 6 or 7 that would be perfect. x

Now I AM a size 9 and it is such a pain! My fav pair are leopard print ankle boots and a massive heel, but they hurt so much! Wedges are a big fav as they don't hurt. Great post hun xxx

Oh I don't envy you and I can only imagine the stress as a child. Big feet are a nuisance aren't they? x
