Enjoying Our Countryside

I have seen so many people showing off their gorgeous photos of their children running through lavender fields recently. We are really lucky to have lavender fields 5 minutes from us but as with all local things we take them for granted. However, my friend is on a mission to make the best out of the summer holidays and so we decided to take the kids and get our own great photos!

If you have never been to see lavender fields you cannot appreciate how stunning they are, photos just don’t do them justice. To walk in the gates and be greeted with a sea of purple is just the most amazing experience!

The girls looked so cute in their outfits, my mum had bought them the day before from JoJo Maman Bébé and they were perfect. They looked so typically British! My dress is from George at Asda and I think it is my new favourite dress, always good length of clothes there for tall people!

My house is now full of the smell of lavender, not normally a smell I like but the fact we picked it ourselves makes it better! You should definitely get down to your local fields if you are lucky enough to have them. Although if you are afraid of bees then you may want to wait until the beginning of next season as apparently there are no bees around at that time.
