A Great New Game To Try

Sometimes, when the thought of getting every single piece of brio track out brings me out in a cold sweat, I like to chill on the sofa and play cards with Little G. We are lucky that LJ still has a nap most days and so we get some time just for us. In the past we have played pairs, snap, UNO- the usual games. But recently we have become a little bit obsessed with Dobble.

Dobble For Kids is a new game, aimed specifically at children and is just great for their little minds. It does require a certain amount of leniency from the adult perspective otherwise you would win every single time!

So how do you play?

The cards are circular and each have a selection of animals on one side. No card is the same but each card has one animal that will match with another card. I have sat and pondered how they have done this, the mind boggles!

There are actually a few games you can play with the cards but the principles are the same. You must find a match with your card and another card to win that round. It is basically like a more complicated game of snap and definitely gets little brains working.

Little G is becoming an expert and is able to genuinely beat me to a matching pair on occasion but I do still have to pretend not to find one. It made me laugh though as Mr F played with her and he thought there had been an error and that one card did not have a matching animal to pair. I told him that every single card matches with every other card but he wouldn’t have it. I went over and found the pair….. haha!

This is a great little stocking filler and definitely a great game to have in the house for rainy days or those lazy days on the sofa.

I have one to give away if you would like to enter. All you have to do is complete the widget- good luck!

This would be for my nephew Drake - he has just started to take an interest in playing games with us (he's 5) so this looks like a game that would entertain him and be simple for him to play :)
