A Makeover with Avon #review

I don’t know about you but I spend most of my days in leggings and a baggy top. In my head I am still a trendy teenager but in reality I am a slob! I have decided that 2015 is going to be my year and am going to make every effort to make the best of myself every day.

However, with the Christmas season in full swing I have decided that I do not want to avoid photos for another year running and so am going to give myself a festive overhaul in time for the big day (and any festivities leading up to it!).

makeover

When Avon asked if I would like to try their makeup range I jumped at the chance as I love trying new things! I was especially excited as it would mean forcing myself to wear makeup as I have really got out of the habit of wearing it over the past 3 years and I miss it!!

This post is going to talk you through the different products and I am going to do a vlog over on my Youtube channel showing how I use the products to create the two looks- for day and for night.

avon 7Colour Corrector Palette £10.50

This is a fab product and something I know I will reach for time and time again. Nobody has flawless skin and so this palette is perfect to help conceal those flaws. The rose is a subtle blush tint, the cream is to help hide those bags, the orange helps to brighten dull skin and then my favourite- the yellow to conceal redness! I really suffer with redness around my nose so this is perfect for me!

avon 10Master Collection £52

Wow what a master collection indeed!! This would make a fantastic present for any woman as it has something for everyone! In my vlog I used the blush and the neutral eyeshadows to create both day and night looks. There is also a selection of lip tips and a huge selection of eyeshadows! Honestly, for any makeup lover this is like Christmas come early!

avon 3Mega Effects Mascara £10

This is the most amazing mascara I have ever set eyes on! It is a great design and is not at all clumpy! It takes some getting used to as we are all used to the traditional wand but once you get the hang of it you won’t look back! The thumb grip makes it really easy to hold and it can be adjusted to suit any angle you are comfortable with.

avon 4Super Shock Brights Mascara £8.50

For something a bit different why not add some colour to your lashes? I tried the turquoise and it really brought out the colour of my eyes! Definitely something to spruce up any evening look- I am thinking I might wear it for New Years Eve!

avon 6Mega Effects Liquid Eyeliner £6.50

If you watched my vlog you will know I am not the best at applying eyeliner! I did like the fact that it is in the style of a felt tip rather than a brush. The tip is a bit like a calligraphy pen which means you have more control over the line -being able to do a thick or thin line depending on the ‘look’ you are wanting to achieve.

avon 1Ultra Colour Lip Crayon £8.50

This is such a genius idea! What better to colour in your lips than a lip crayon?!! It is so silky smooth going onto the lips and the colour range is great so plenty to choose from to suit your style!

avon 2 Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick £7.50

This is a gorgeous lipstick! I am a lippie girl and I am not sure I have ever worn such a moisture rich lipstick! It glides on so well and lasted me all day!

So there we have it, a selection of gorgeous products from the Avon makeup range. For the full range why not visit Avon’s website or find a local representative!

I was sent these products for the purpose of this makeover post but all thoughts and words are my own.

I really need to start making more of an effort too. I have loads of makeup but rarely use it. That master palette is amazing! I would love to find that under the tree but alas I have a billion other palettes so I don't think Hubs would be too pleased at me having another one.

It is lovely, I always wanted one and would look longingly at them in shops! My favourite thing though is the lip crayon- so nifty!! x
