Bringing The Indoors, Outdoors

Both my girls love to spend every moment in the garden, as soon as the weather gets warmer they are out there from morning until bedtime. They love nothing more than bringing all of their toys outside to play with and will have many a picnic on the grass.

We are lucky to have a reasonable sized garden and we have filled it with lovely toys for them to use, to make an extended playroom as our house is bursting at the seams! The main feature of the garden is our sunken trampoline but we have also added key pieces over the years, including a sandpit, a swing and more recently a Cape Cottage from Little Tikes.

Little G has always wanted a playhouse, we always struggled to leave shops which had them on display as she would refuse to leave the houses behind! When she found out she was going to get her very own cottage she actually screamed! Makes me wish I had given in sooner knowing the joy it has brought her.

The last week or so they have been in and out of the house, adding in their own furniture and making it feel like home. They have decided between them that they have a door each, Little L being assigned the back door and Little G the front.

They have had so much fun and it has brought them closer as sisters, they both love make believe and having their own house is the ultimate in role play accessories. One of their favourite things has been to make their own letters and post them to each other. Little G is getting really good at writing now so I am pleased it is giving her an opportunity to practice her skills.

It is a solid piece of kit and I know so many people who have Little Tikes playhouses that have lasted for years. I am so excited to have this in our family now and I know the girls will enjoy it for years to come.
