Our Cosy Halloween At Home

We live in a bit of a non family friendly part of town. Not to say that it isn’t a great place to live but we are probably the only family within a 2 street stretch, with most other people being of the older generation. When it comes to this time of year it does mean that we can’t be knocking on doors down our road, as we probably wouldn’t be met with sweets and smiles. So, not wanting to ignore the day altogether we chose to stay home and have our own fun.

Being silly at halloween

We were kindly sent a Halloween package from Slumberdown and so we spent the evening watching a DVD and stuffing our face with sweets- perfect!

Wallace and Gromit

The DVD was Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, not one the girls have seen before but was perfect for a family friendly Halloween movie. I’ve not seen it in a few years and had forgotten how much I enjoy Wallace and Gromit! Just so clever how they make the movies!

Girls under the duvet

They also sent us one of their snuggly Luxury Silky duvets so the girls had fun making a den. They are such good friends now and spend every moment together giggling like mad.

Giggling under the duvet

In the end they gave up on the den and snuggled on the sofa together to watch the rest of the movie. Love them to bits!

One thing we missed out on this year was carving a pumpkin. With being away all week for my best friend’s wedding we just didn’t have the time. Definitely make up for it next year!

Looks huge fun! We didn't take the twins trick or treating either, although our new estate is very kid friendly, we will definitely do it next year! Looks like your plans were perfect :) Jess xx
